Technical mastery is generally a rehearsal done by art, lighting, and photography.
The rehearsal stage (also generally called the conception stage) is an important step in which the director and the actors collaborate to shape the character and embody the director's conception. During the rehearsal, on the one hand, the director carefully explains the script, life in the play, and character traits to the actors; on the other hand, he gives full play to the creative potential of the actors, guiding them to get closer to the characters and complete the creation of the characters' images.
During rehearsals, directors must have keen imagination and abundant directorial enthusiasm, igniting actors' creative desire at any time and fully displaying their creative personalities. In the rehearsal venue, the director and the actors need to understand each other, but the director also needs to be good at waiting patiently. Character creation is by no means accomplished overnight. It requires careful inspiration from the director, continuous nurturing, cultivation and accumulation, and continuous development of all actors' life experiences and internal and external technical talents before they can leap onto the stage.
Rehearsal steps:
Rehearsal can be roughly divided into three stages:
1. Preliminary rehearsal stage. Also known as "rough rowing", commonly known as "building a shelf". That is to say, the preliminary outline of the plot and action of a scene or the whole play is established first, so that the actors can have a complete impression of it so that they can think about the continuity of the action. The director can come up with a rough outline of the idea, which will help him review his approach.
2. Detailed arrangement stage. Based on the skeleton of the preliminary rehearsal, further detailed processing and rehearsal were carried out. Scene by scene and paragraph by paragraph, we help actors deeply understand the script while crafting it carefully in order to complete the complete creation of the whole and its parts. There are many tasks at this stage and they are more complex. The director must try his best to dig out the actual content that is not written in the play. In addition, individual rehearsals and key points must be done at this stage. This is the rehearsal stage that is most likely to yield results.
3. Synthesis stage. Before compositing, you should first rehearse in the rehearsal venue, connect the rehearsed plays, and check the continuity several times. Then enter the theater and go on stage to synthesize. Synthesis, also called rehearsal, is to bring all the structural factors of the performance into your own creative field, so that the actor's performance and the environment given by the stage are integrated into a harmonious whole. That is to say, many fragments, scenes and interludes in a play are connected together to create an artistically complete performance.
