What is the detailed printing process?

1. Before the book is printed and before the film is released.

Exposure/leakage: The printing paper is mostly white. When printing or plate making, the color of the joint is not dense, revealing the background color of white paper.

Whitening: the photographic plate-making process in the hanging screen era. In order to remedy the lack of sensitivity of the dark part of the online picture, we can remove the original picture and flash it once, or put a piece of paper for exposure, or flash white light directly with a flash to increase the depth of the original picture and make the image soft.

Burst fat: Overeating will certainly make you fat, and just a lot of silver on the film will also expand your territory. Manual overprinting is to add a transparent thick film to the photosensitive film to expose it and fertilize it.

Overprinting: In color separation and plate making, the intersection of colors is intentionally expanded to reduce the influence of misregister.

Field: refers to the area of color block without dot, usually refers to the full version.

Anti-white: text or lines are printed with negative lines to expose paper white.

Fishing: not a fisherman's craft. In the process of color separation of amplitude modulation screen, when the dot angle distribution is wrong, or the distance between each screen angle is less than 25, moire fringe becomes obvious.

Flying net: the screen hanging process of lens plate making, which removes the screen after normal exposure and supplements short exposure to increase contrast.

Dog teeth: Dogs have uneven teeth. There are not enough pixels in the picture, and the edge appears dog-tooth shape after enlargement.

Rose spot: a network pattern like a deer. The bad one is called mat pattern, and the worse one is called turtle pattern.

Flush: the order of layout sorting, with prefix as the baseline. Extended to imposition binding, based on the position of the head.

Loose tail: a way of typesetting words. Only the word spacing is consistent, not the end of the line is neat.

Mask: It is a mask for manual color separation. It can be used for film drying or red film cutting, and can be used for film rejection or color correction.

Blue version: not playing basketball, nor B (blue) of RGB, but C (cyan) version of CMYK.

Ghost: an image or shadow of unknown origin. Most of them are caused by uneven ink supply of old printing machines.

Guada: It's not that watermelons beat dogs. In the era of letterpress printing, "Mafia" used typesetting to locate lead particles with low typeface.

Trapping: when different color layers overlap, the overlapping ratio of each color layer.

Somersault: Learn the Monkey King's specialty. The bottom printing car has an automatic paper turning device, which prints the surface at the paper bite and prints the bottom at the end of the paper bite in one go.

Reverse printing: refers to a printing method that saves printing plates. Let the paper finish printing on one side first, then turn the paper left and right, and after drying, turn the bottom surface upside down, which is called bottom surface reverse printing, and the tail of the paper is called bottom surface reverse printing. It is the process of printing the back of paper without changing the printing plate.

Flying ink: the ink consistency is not enough because of the high speed of the printing machine, and the centrifugal force makes the ink splash.

Ink line: draw a gauge line on the printing plate so that it is printed on the paper position, so that the needle position can be monitored at a glance.

Fouling: the printing plate is not hydrophilic enough to become lipophilic, of course, it is thin and greasy, and the problem is mostly that the pH of bucket water is wrong.

Gun: gun, commonly known as roller. The movement of rubber roller leaving impression cylinder.

Squeezing: Excessive paper is sandwiched between the impression cylinder and the rubber roller, and the printing machine is stopped by safety induction.

What residues: ink stains that should not be printed on paper, the problem is also in the balance of ink and wash.

Open: The press stops rotating, mainly because the paper feed is not smooth or the double paper feed triggers the safety device.

Needle position: not the position of injection. Standard edge of printed paper. The length of paper, printing and cutting need a needle position to align.

Continuous drying: a continuous printing process that saves film. Move the exposure with the positioning cross.

Overrun: a term for printing accidents. Refers to the ink layer is too thick and dry, polluting the back of the paper pressed on it.

The front of the car (top sound): The Philippines calls the driver the front of the car. The front of the printing press is not the captain, but the printing speed.

Stone number: the title of printing quantity in lithography era. When stamping on paper, a stone is weighed in one color.

Second hand: Not second hand. Refers to the auxiliary or button of a printing machine.

Proofing: not against the manuscript, but through the pre-printing of a sample by the proofing machine for formal printing.

Feida: It's not a courier. It's a conveyor that feeds paper from a printing machine.

Bleeding: Of course it bleeds when it is cut. The printing and binding process requires that the background color or picture of the page should exceed the cutting line by 3mm, which is called color bleeding.

Flash: flying, cutting and removing. Flash refers to removing the bleeding edge, which is a binding term.

Oblique cutting: books that are deformed, oblique, and turned into water chestnuts at right angles are mostly caused by uneven paper gate pressure or inappropriate paper grating.

Polishing: The surface of printed paper will be smooth after calendering roller treatment, which is the surface treatment process.

Origami of Japanese book folding machine. The fourth discount of the 32 nd edition folding method must be reversed.

Genuine: not software. The layout of the first code of a book edition is called the original edition, the layout of the second code is called the inverted edition, and the front and back editions are called a group, a post or a frame.

Paper door: it's not a door for closing paper, but a machine for cutting paper.

Riding nail: a method of binding books, such as nailing on horseback. Thin books (less than 6 posts) are covered and placed horizontally on the iron frame to pierce the wire nail.

Pork sausage roll: A method of folding book stickers, such as rice rolls roll, 3 upper shuttles and 2 lower shuttles, which can fold 32 pages.

Organ folding: a method of folding book stickers. When the book is folded, it opens like a screen.

Reverse sealing: the method of binding the cover by hand. First stick the back cover to fix the position, then stick the spine cover, and then do an anti-cover action.

Hairy book: not a book with long hair, it refers to a blank book with lock thread but no cut cover.

Earth cloth: a piece of cloth connecting the upper and lower leather shells of the spine of a hardcover book. Play a solid and beautiful role.

Hot stamping: a processing action of hardcover cover, such as hot stamping, with high humidity.

Step 4: typesetting

High-profile: of course, the picture with more light is bright and white. Japanese color separation style likes the highlight without dots to lengthen the picture level.

Low-key: It's not that the sound is weak, but that the picture is dark or the tone is dark.

Explosion: Not a terrorist incident. Insufficient memory or disk space will cause the computer to crash.

Pound: Not weight. Is the unit of measurement for layout, and the minimum units of English letters are points, 1 inch and 72 unit points.

Grade: not stratum, but optical phototypesetting age refers to text size, and grade 4 is1mm.

No: It's not a small size, it's the granularity of the lead printing era. The largest special size is 72 kg, and the smallest size is 5 kg.

Flat body: it doesn't refer to hairstyle, but refers to transforming a square into a lens to make the characters flat. Ping 1 is 1% (10%), Ping 2 is 20%, Ping 3 is 30% and Ping 4 is 40%.

Long body: refers to narrow body characters, which are 1, 1%, 20%, 30% and 40% respectively.

Pen spraying: spray paint with a pen with compressed air and an air brush. Manual gradient method before DTP era.

Byte: It is not a festival of words, but a unit of computer machine language. Eight bits equals one byte.
