How to avoid the shadow of indoor flash shooting

When the flash is used as the light source, the photos taken often have annoying shadows. This is mainly caused by the strong directivity of the thousand flash beam. So how to avoid the shadow of indoor flash photography?

L, switch to reflection method

Adjust the direction of the flash lamp holder to make the light beam reflect from the ceiling or light-colored wall to the subject. This method should pay attention to appropriately increasing the exposure ruler. For color photography, we should also pay attention to the color of the reflective surface. If the reflective surface is not pure white, this method is not suitable for shooting, so as not to affect the color temperature of the photo and produce color cast.

2. Keep the flash as close to the camera as possible.

This can reduce the projection, because the farther the flash is from the lens, the larger the shadow the beam drags. If the subject is a frontal portrait, this method is not suitable, otherwise it is easy to take a red-eye photo.

3. The subject should be as far away from the background as possible.

In general, it should be more than l meters. Because the closer the subject is to the background, the clearer the contrast between light and shade and the more obvious the projection.

4. Place white transparent paper at 10- 12 cm in front of the flash cover.

You can also put on a colorless and transparent plastic bag to soften the light and eliminate the shadow. In this way, according to the light transmission of the light shielding film, the exposure is increased by 1 to 2 times.
