Is the employment direction of photography and camera technology better or environmental art design?

It depends on your interest, but your major is not necessarily your occupation. However, as far as employment prospects are concerned, environmental design talents are relatively scarce, and there are more people engaged in photography, so the average treatment may not be as good as those engaged in environment and landscape. Of course, no matter where you are, excellent talents will always shine.

I also suggest that you choose environmental art design for the simple reason that if you like photography, you can take up photography after graduation, and vice versa.
