Photography skills of portrait photography of beautiful girls

Photography techniques can be explained, and there are also data to check. So, little brother, I'm trying to repackage portrait photography so that you people can have a deeper understanding of portrait photography ... Come on, look at that beautiful girl! The following are some of my shooting skills and views on backlit portraits. Don't worry, listen to me.

The secret technique of backlight

First of all, let's talk about the most abundant backlight. There are many famous photographers in Taiwan Province Province who have taken backlights. Although my brother feels good, he still keeps a low profile, because everything is a cloud to me. Maybe Bruce Lee and I are brothers, so we should talk about it everywhere?

Anyway, because I really like to shoot portraits with backlight, I'm going to talk about backlight in the whole article today, but real-time backlight is everyone's favorite now, and everyone's shooting is slightly different. Not just pick up the camera and point it at the sun. Let my little brother share with you how to make his backlight beautiful and distinctive. Even if everyone shoots backlight, it will make the audience feel very strange. First of all, I haven't read other people's backlit books. If there are similarities, it is purely coincidental!

Abroad, there is Rembrandt light, which refers to the painting or shooting method that strongly uses the light sense of the characters' faces and emphasizes the facial features and faces, while the sunshine in Taiwan Province Province is generally called Moline Niang light, because it rains all the year round in Taiwan Province Province, so we can really thank the gods for shooting beautiful backlight.

To shoot a good-looking backlight, we must first have a lens that is not too bad, preferably a new lens, and then try to open the aperture as wide as possible to shoot a transparent and bright feeling on the premise of taking into account the image quality. Secondly, it is best to shoot with negative film, and use the high tolerance of negative film to express the tone of backlight (the brand and quality of negative film will also affect the effect of backlight shooting. Personally, it seems that Fuji's tolerance is a little better than Kodak's.

Backlight shooting is the most important theme, but the background can't be dead white, otherwise there will be fog, because the outline of a backlit portrait can only be clearly displayed in a clear background, and if digital shooting is used, it will be easy to blur and make the image have no three-dimensional sense.

You may not know what to say, but you can read it quickly: The following two pictures show the light around 3: 30 pm in autumn in southern Taiwan Province Province. Although it is not an excellent backlight shooting time, we all know that my sister is too upright to care so much. The first one is a Fujicolor 100 business film brought back from Japan by my friend, and the aperture is F 1.8. The second one is the mainland version of Fujicolor C200 brought back from Shanghai, which is two months overdue, and the aperture is about F2.8.

Rush, scan and lens are all the same, and the second one is brighter. Although the conditions are not exactly the same, we can still see how different the aperture size is from the negative film!

The following photo was taken in a residential area next to Huaihai Middle Road in Shanghai. In fact, the situation that day was very suitable for backlighting. But because I only have a digital camera at hand, I can leave this digital backlight for everyone to see and compare. Although the performance of Canon 5D Mark II is very good, it is still not as good as the negative.

Next, let's take a look at the performance of a zoom lens that is not so high in grade, or an old lens that shoots people in reverse light.

▲ Canon EOS 5, EF 24-85mm F3.5-4.5, Fuji color X-TRA 400 negative.

▲ Seagull 4B, Fuji Pro 400H negative.

So because the background color is not deep enough, it is easy to be white, and the outline will be eaten, so it doesn't feel so transparent, does it? ?

Magical moment

The height of the sun determines the effect: generally, we girls take pictures outside in the afternoon (we can't get up in the morning), and it is best to take pictures from 4 to 6: 30 in summer (Taiwan Province Province) and from 2 to 5 in winter. Before going out, you can check that the first half hour of a day in central weather bureau is the most beautiful magical moment, and then observe whether the sky near the horizon is opaque. If it gets dark, you can choose to shoot early and end early. Let's share some photos of magical moments.

Backlight at high latitudes

Because of the color temperature of the light, it will make people feel very warm to take a portrait against the light at this time, but since you want to take a strange photo, of course, you can't stick to the rules, you must take a photo at a magical moment! Let's share some backlight photos taken at different times, including various time points, and the differences of different light and color temperature in the elevation of the sun when taking pictures in countries with higher latitudes.

▲ Canon EOS 1 VHS, EF 28mm F 1.8, Efiniti Uxi 200 film, the light in Shanghai at 2 o'clock in April.

▲ Contax 645, 80mm2, Fujicolor Pro 400h film, the light in Shanghai at noon in January.

▲ Canon EOS/KOOC-0/VHS, Sigma 35mm f/KOOC-0/.4, Sunny/KOOC-0/00 negative,

Lights at noon in Shanghai 10.

Next, I will share two photos of non-magical moments in Taiwan Province Province.

▲ Contax 645, 80mF2, Kodak Ektar 100 negative, around Meihua in spring at 3 pm.

▲ Canon EOS 1 VHS, EF 28 mm F 1.8, Fuji color X-TRA 400 film, light at 3 pm in Kaohsiung in summer.

In this way, we should be able to understand why most backlit portraits in Taiwan Province Province must be taken after 4 pm, while those in the north of Taiwan Province Province can be taken almost all day except in summer.

Photometric mode

Personally, I think this should be the last part that photographers who shoot backlit portraits online want to talk about. The parameters I give here are based on film shooting and winter in Taiwan Province province. If the sun is above or behind the head (meaning that the sun itself does not appear in the picture), it is measured in M mode. If AE-L exposure is locked in other modes, the exposure will be reduced from two and a half to one from 2: 00 pm to 5: 00 pm. Simply put, if you do, please add two and a half squares, two squares at three o'clock in the afternoon, one and a half squares at four o'clock in the afternoon, and one square at five o'clock in the afternoon (purely personal experience sharing, there is no absolute right or wrong, don't fight! ), please try this metering next time!

Indoor backlight

This kind of job is hard to find, especially in Taiwan Province Province, where most houses are afraid of the sun, so there are few windows facing west, and so are hotels. Because the indoor light is separated by glass or other things, it feels softer. Because of the different amount of light, you can play more, such as the following.

Dear, come out with Niu Wangmo to meet God.

When shooting backlight, there are many times when you can create the feeling of light beam, sometimes it is formed by the scene environment, and sometimes the photographer can separate it by hand or block some light from entering the lens.

In the world of photography, there is no image without light. Backlight shooting was originally a defective shooting method, but it became a popular shooting method because of the progress of lens coating. Thanks to technology, we can enjoy the temperature of the image at the moment and have a romantic encounter with the god of photography. The above backlit portraits have been shared, thank you for your appreciation!
