The counterattack of salted fish: Yi Yin, a dowry slave, turned over as prime minister and later became a saint

There is a saying in China that the court is called Tian Shelang, and the court is called the Emperor at dusk. This is not just a legend. This habit has a long history in China. Yi Yin, the founding hero of Shang Dynasty, was the first person to become the prime minister of the dynasty through cloth counterattack. So how did Yi Yin succeed? Let's take our time.

Yi Yin (BC 1649- BC 1549), whose surname is Yi, Ming Zhi, posthumous title Aheng, Yin is not a first name, but a right phase. Born in Kongsang at the end of summer (now Minquan County, Shangqiu, Henan Province, called Qixian County, Kaifeng, Henan Province, and Cao Xian County, Heze, Shandong Province), her mother lived in the water god, so she took Yi as her surname. Yi Yin was a famous prime minister, politician, thinker and one of the earliest known Taoist figures in the early Shang Dynasty. He is also the ancestor of China chefs and the founder of Central Plains cuisine.

BC/KLOC-At the beginning of the 6th century, he assisted Shang Tang to destroy the Xia Dynasty and made great contributions to the establishment of the Shang Dynasty. Governing the world with the theory of balancing five flavors with a tripod and spoon is what Laozi said. Governing a big country can cook some fresh food. During his tenure as prime minister, he reorganized the bureaucracy and gained insight into the people's feelings, which made the Shang Dynasty more prosperous in economy, clearer in politics and rapidly powerful in national strength.

Yi Yin was a famous counsellor in Shang Tang period, who made outstanding contributions in helping Shang Tang to eliminate summer. Yi Yin was born in poverty and was sold as a slave when he was very young. Because of his cleverness and skillful cooking, Yi Yin won the appreciation of Shen Guojun and specially made him a chef to entertain guests from all over the world.

Yi Yin is not satisfied with his present position. He used the opportunity of being a chef to inquire about the situation in various countries and understand the changes in the political situation, so that when the time is right, he can do something.

Yi Yin's chance has finally come. In the conversation with Yi Yin, Zhong Guo, the prime minister of Shang Tang, found that this slave was unusual and a rare wizard. So Zhong You prepared to take Yi Yin back to business, but Xin Wang wouldn't let him go.

So, Zhong Fu had to give Yi Yin some money to redeem himself. After Zhong Guo returned to Shang State, he told the Tang King about it. Shang Tang immediately sent envoys to invite Yi Yin. The envoys asked around and found Yi Yin in a small hut in the country. Seeing that Yi Yin was plain and ragged, the messenger proudly said to Yi Yin, Your boy is Yi Yin. You are very lucky.

Our king has a crush on you. Pack your things and get in the car with me. Seeing this, Yi Yin disdainfully said: I have food in Yi Yin, and my life is as happy as Yao and Shun. Why should I go back with you? The special envoy was rejected and had to leave angrily. When Shang Tang sent someone to invite Yi Yin again, Xin Guojun imprisoned Yi Yin and refused the messenger's request.

The emissary told Shang Tang about the experience of inviting people, and Shang Tang was also disappointed. That is, Zhong Kui, the left prime minister, said to Shang Tang: There is only one way. We should propose to China that Yi Yin should come to Shang as a dowry slave. Shang Tang sent an emissary to propose to the monarch with a country in his heart, and asked Yi Yin to be a dowry slave. The monarch who has a country with a heart agreed to Shang Tang's request and asked Yi Yin to be a dowry slave and went to Shang State.

When Yi Yin arrived in Shang Dynasty, Shang Tang, considering that he was a slave to marry him, would cause everyone's dissatisfaction if he rashly entrusted him with an important task. So let Yi Yin openly express his ambition and let him talk about his views on the general trend of the world. Yi Yin bowed frankly and told everyone that I was born in a humble background, and it was Shang Zhouwang who didn't dislike me. Then I'll talk about the general trend of the world today.

Now Xia Jie is dissolute, which makes people miserable. Wang Shang is a rare wise man who wants to spread justice to the world. We should do our best to help Shang Wang achieve imperial career and eliminate the ruthless Xia State. I have had this idea for a long time, and my coming to BCCHK today is a good opportunity to realize this idea.

As a slave like me, Shang Wang was so courteous and tried to get me here many times. Am I afraid to do my best? They were impressed by what they said, so Shang Tang publicly appointed Yi Yin as the right prime minister to help handle state affairs. In this way, Yi Yin jumped from a slave to a prime minister of the Shang Dynasty.

With the help of Yi Yin, Shang Tang became stronger and finally destroyed the shaky Xia Dynasty. When the Shang Dynasty was founded, Yi Yin became the founding hero of the Shang Dynasty. In the early Shang Dynasty, Yi Yin helped Shang Tang to formulate various laws and regulations, and formulated and standardized the laws of Shang Dynasty. The Shang Dynasty was once politically clear, socially stable and economically prosperous. After Shang Tang's death, Yi Yin assisted the second and third generations of monarchs to help them turn over a new leaf.

One of the most famous is the story of Yi Yin releasing Tai Jia. Tai Jia is Shang Tang's grandson. After Tai Jia succeeded to the throne, Yi Yin wrote three articles for Tai Jia to teach him how to be a good monarch. After reading these articles, Tai Jia was able to follow them at first, but did not dare to violate the rules set by his ancestors.

In the third year, he began to get carried away, thinking that he was the master of a country, and Yi Yin, a slave, should leave him alone. He acted on his own temper and broke the laws of his ancestors. Use cruel means to deal with the people and oppress them out of breath.

Tai Jia has gone bad. Yi Yin certainly can't let him go. Yi Yin began to exhort again and again. After repeated exhortations, Yi Yin put Tai A Liu in Tong Gong, the tomb of Tang. During this period, Yi Yin did not set up another monarch, but temporarily managed state affairs by itself.

When Tai Jia arrived at Tonggong, facing his grandfather's humble palace, he deeply felt that it was not easy for his ancestors to start a business, and today's life was hard-won. So Tai Jia turned over a new leaf and repented. Yi Yin was very happy to learn that Taijia was getting better. He took him back to North Korea and returned the power to him.

In the later rule, Tai Jia practiced benevolent government to treat the princes sincerely. During this period, the Shang Dynasty was prosperous and peaceful, and its national strength reached its peak. Yi Yin wrote three "Tai Jia Xun", praising the achievements of Tai Jia and calling it Taizong.

After the death of Tai Jia, his son Woding succeeded to the throne. During the reign of Warding, Yi Yin died. The old man lived for over a hundred years and then died. Woding remembered Yi Yin's contribution to the country, so he buried Yi Yin with the emperor's gift and addressed him as a saint.
