Is there a soft box in the studio? Is there light in all directions? Your situation should be caused by some light intensity, not all overexposure or underexposure. Put it in a soft box, and the left and right lights will be enough. Take a picture with AV small aperture first, then adjust it to M, adjust the shutter, and keep the aperture unchanged.
