Kanas, the top ten must-see scenic spots in Xinjiang.

Kanas is Mongolian, meaning "beautiful and mysterious lake". Kanas Lake is located in the north of Burqin County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Lake water comes from glacial meltwater and local precipitation in Kuitun, Youyi Peak and other mountainous areas. Lake elevation1374m, with an area of 45.73㎞? The deepest elevation of the lake is 1 18 1.5m, and the lake depth is188.5m. It is the deepest moraine dammed lake in China, an alpine lake and an inland freshwater lake located in the dense forest of Altai Mountain. Kanas Lake is fascinated by its mysterious monsters, colorful lakes and dazzling natural scenery. Many tourists yearn for its sacredness. Today, I will introduce you to the mysterious and peaceful Kanas.

According to legend, a long time ago, Genghis Khan traveled westward through Kanas Lake and saw such a beautiful place. He decided to stay here for a while and let his troops have a rest. Genghis Khan drank the lake, which was very deep. He was very thirsty, so he asked his generals what kind of water it was. A clever general replied, "This is Kanos (Mongolian means the water of Khan)." All the soldiers replied in unison: "This is the water of Khan." Genghis Khan said, "Let's call this lake Kanas Lake." So in the legend of Tuwa people, they are descendants of Genghis Khan. After Genghis Khan's death, his body sank into Kanas Lake, and Tuwa people, as Genghis Khan's personal soldiers, stayed in Kanas Lake for generations. The "Lake Monster" is a "Lake Sage" to protect Genghis Khan's undead from infringement.

Kanas, one of the three famous bays, is sandwiched between the east and west mountains, and the river meanders with the mountain like a crescent moon, hence the name Moon Bay.

There are mountains on both sides of the inlet, dense virgin forests and towering old trees. There is a large green lawn on the peninsula platform of the river bend under the forest.

Due to the height difference at the bottom of the lake and the influence of light, Moon Bay River and Kanas Lake also show magnificent and changeable colors.

It is a holiday resort for photographers, and the observation deck on the wooden plank road along the way is the best place to take pictures.

Not far from Moon Bay, there is also a "holy spring". The mineral content of spring water is extremely high, and people with bad stomach should drink it carefully.

Yaze Lake is located in Kanas Scenic Area, which is composed of oxbow lake depression in the abandoned reach after the diversion of Kanas River, and looks like a butterfly. Yaze Lake is open and gentle, and the lake is like a mirror.

In summer, flocks of wild ducks and geese inhabit and swim in the lake area and thrive. A little scared, you can see them flying in pairs and flapping their wings on the water, which is very spectacular. There are flocks of cattle and sheep, white yurts dotted among them, and smoke curled up in front of the tent, which constitutes a huge natural landscape painting with green mountains and white clouds, which is pleasing to the eye.

On the grassland plateau near the river in the northwest of Yaze Lake, there is a stone pile, that is "Aobao". Tuwa people regularly hold sacrificial activities and "Aobao Festival" here every year to pray for the prosperity of six animals and the safety of their families.

South of Yaze Lake is Shenxian Bay, one of the "three bays" in Kanas. Kanas Lake is widened due to the blockage of debris flow and collapse deposits downstream, which is the widest reach of Kanas River in Kanas Lake Scenic Area. The valley here is flat, and large swamps and meadows are formed in the riverside area. The backlight of the lake looks like a tiny light under the sunlight, as if countless pearls are scattered at will. Therefore, it is also called "Pearl Beach". In addition, there are often clouds, mountains, lakes and trees, just like a fairyland, hence the name Fairy Bay.
