Donglin Academy

Donglin Academy was founded by Shi Yang, a famous scholar in the Northern Song Dynasty, in the first year of Zhenghe (A.D.11). It was a Neo-Confucianism exchange center and a famous academy in the south of China during the Song and Ming Dynasties, and it was even more famous for the Lindong Party incident in the late Ming Dynasty. From 2002 to 2004, the Wuxi Municipal Government fully restored Lindong College. The restored academy covers an area of 13000M2 with a building area of 2800M2.
