Director's background: Louis Lee Prince was born in Metz. Since he was a child, he often went to the studio of Daguerre, his father's good friend and pioneer of photography, to study photography and chemistry. He then went to Paris to study painting, and then went to Leipzig University to study chemistry. Prince has worked in Britain and the United States, so he has dual citizenship of France and the United States.
1888 10, Prince used celluloid film and a single-lens camera to shoot the world's first dynamic image work "Garden Scene in the Round Sea". The film recorded four people doing antics in the garden in less than three seconds.
