Practice "Photography Eye": How many different photos can you take around a city gate?

What's the old saying?

"I can't pull out XX, Lai XX"

If you put this sentence into photography, it should be said: "The scenery is not good, you can't take good photos."

Ok, no problem.

However, sentimental travelers still have to say, "There are never ugly scenery, only people who can't take pictures."

What do you mean?

Let's look at 10 photos:

This 10 photo has minimalism, light, shadow and lines.

It seems that the scenery is different, but in fact, there is only one scene where the traveler took this photo:

This is the guard room of the Temple of Heaven.

The building structure of the gatehouse is very simple, with three openings and three doors, and then, it is gone.

So, if you see such a scene, will you take such a photo:

Work neatly, punch in and take photos.

However, just like the last tutorial on taking pictures of flowers, the traveler Jun said, "Take pictures of flowers without looking at them". When taking pictures of buildings, we should also have the concept of "taking pictures of buildings without looking at flowers".

Dig out the details from the whole, looking for light and shadow, color, lines and differences.

Then you will find that the photos you take will go beyond the building itself, thus creating another kind of beauty, a beauty that only you can see.

Taking this photo is actually an appropriate way to punch in, but I held the camera a little higher to avoid the crowd below.

Moreover, compared with complicated elements such as pedestrians and trees below, the colors and lines above the roof are more concise and clear.

Light and shadow are actually wonderful things.

Thanks to mobile phone photography, the mobile phone doesn't have a large aperture and there aren't so many complicated parameter settings. It is so simple and monotonous that only photographers can overcome it, and the limitations of the equipment can be made up by perspective and composition.

So when I take pictures with my mobile phone, I pay special attention to the light.

This photo, the one beside the three doorways, shows that only a part of the sun shines in, which makes most areas inside the doorways dark. This kind of light contrast is my favorite shooting subject. In the shadow, I took the wall as the foreground, circled the light into a "spotlight area", and the photos I took were bright and dark. Because of the addition of pedestrians, the composition will not be too boring.

Shooting from shadow to bright is the effect of the above picture. Then I go through the doorway and shoot shadows from bright places, which is another effect.

The foreground of the wall just made is dark, so the photo is black. The other direction is also the wall of the foreground. It turned bright red because it was sunny.

Red, black, yellow and gray divide the picture like Jian Yuepai's oil painting.

I tried to shoot from dark to light, and I tried to shoot from light to dark.

So, I went back to the door. This time, I tried to shoot directly inside.

The shadow directly divides the yellow wall into two parts, and the picture becomes three parts, with two triangles above and a rectangle below.

This division is simple and clear, which makes people feel comfortable.

Similarly, wait for a person to walk by.

Luckily, he wore a red hat.

so this is it? Of course not, at the door, there are many places to shoot.

After observing the environment, I came to another side hole and looked up. The trees outside have not sprouted yet, and they are bare and dense. Although it is chaotic, it is also a line. In contrast, the ceiling wall is smooth and bright yellow.

As a result, a complex, a simple, and a comparison came out.

People always like to look for symmetry, but only by finding new ways can they be different. Therefore, in this sixth photo, I chose an asymmetric perspective.

Leave the door and go back to the backlight side. Shoot at the wall.

Then, the heights of the three doorways will gradually decrease in the lens, forming a sense of perspective.

Because of the backlight, the light on the wall and the door is relatively uniform, and there will be no contrast between light and shade. The color will be very uniform.

This time, turn on the zoom of the mobile phone, and focus on only one doorway under 3 times zoom.

A purple, a yellow, a red, a yellow, a purple.

Because of the enlargement of the details, the law of "invisibility" has been sorted out.

After photographing the doorway, exit, go to the sunny side and photograph the top of the doorway.

The sun lit up the wall, but I couldn't find the top of the doorway. Thus, under the contrast of light and shade, the lines of minimalism are formed.

Around the side of the inverted gatehouse, the small green faucet on the roof contrasts with the red wall.

The contrast of color and light and shade determines that this is a scene worth shooting.

Put the faucet on one side of the picture and leave a big blank on the other side. The photo will be very emotional.

Then look up at the roof, tenon and mortise structure, painted and carved, and the sharp corners are very stylish.

I compared the room angles on both sides, because the projection of branches on the left wall would be chaotic, so I chose the room angle on the right.

The clean wall, the difference between light and shade, and the blessing of the sky, how many triangles can you find in this photo?

How to discover beauty?

Through this 10 photo, you should understand.
