Where does Nanjing Yuyuan Garden (Hu Jia Garden) belong?

Nanjing Yuyuan Garden (Hu Jia Garden) is a cultural relic protection unit in Nanjing.

Hu Jia Garden, formerly known as Yuyuan Garden, is located at No.2 Hu Jia Garden in the southwest corner of Nanjing. It faces Yangming Street in front and Hualu Port in the back. It is about 240 meters long from north to south and 100 meters wide from east to west. It consists of a house and a garden. The biggest feature of the whole garden is to win with water stones. It is one of the famous gardens in Jinling in the late Qing Dynasty and is known as the "Lion Forest in Jinling". Its shape can even be compared with Zhanyuan, which is known as "the first garden in Jinling", and its architectural value is by no means inferior to Ganxi's former residence with 99 and a half rooms.

Hu Jia Garden was originally another undertaking of Xu Fu, a descendant of Xu Da, the king of Zhongshan in Ming Dynasty. The owner of the back garden is Huizhou merchant Wang, followed by Wu Yongguang. After Qianlong, the garden gradually declined. In the 13th year of Tongzhi (1874), Hu Enxie, a celebrity in the Qing Dynasty, resigned and returned to Li, and bought the former site of Xiyuan, which was built in the early years of Guangxu. There are Qingyuan Hall, Chunhui Hall, Shuishiju, Wuyin Jingshe, Fenyin Xuan, Yan Songtang, Qingshan Bandu Building, Xunju Gallery, Qin Yi Baishi Village, Lotus in the Mirror, Ji 'an, Urban Mountain Forest, Jiyunxuan, Yanqing Pavilion, Rong 'an Building, Qiushuijia Pavilion, Yun Qi Pavilion, Chunshui Pavilion and so on.

In the eyes of the world, Hu Enxie's career is at its peak and there will be opportunities for promotion and promotion in the future. However, he resigned and returned to his post, which can be described as "stupid". In order to flaunt his loftiness, Hu Enxie deliberately "thinks himself stupid, and even calls it a stupid garden". In fact, Hu Enxie means "no matter how clever a person is, he is also stupid". Since then, it has been called Hu Jia Garden. After the Revolution of 1911, the Yuyuan Garden was occupied by braided soldiers from Zhang Xun, and was destroyed by war during the three revolutions. Although it was later repaired, it was destroyed during the Anti-Japanese War, and now only the original pool and some relics are left.

Hu Jia Garden is the most famous private garden in Jinling in the late Qing Dynasty. There used to be a whole forest, rockeries, ponds and boats. With the changes of the times, rockeries disappeared and ponds were filled to build houses. Slowly, the garden lost its appearance and began to become a living place for residents.

There is a high voice from all walks of life for the reconstruction of "Hu Jia Garden". Qinhuai District has also started the protection and construction project of Hu Jia Garden. According to the preliminary planning and design scheme of Hu Jia Gardens, Hu Jia Gardens Protection and Construction Project covers an area of 5.64 hectares, and the construction contents include early demolition, architectural protection and landscape construction. On the basis of creating a unique stupid lake, the original private garden pattern was transformed. The reconstructed Hu Jia Garden is not simply to restore the architecture of classical gardens and repair traditional houses, but to create a cultural landscape group, which is integrated with the whole Qinhuai scenic belt.
