Color matching skills of freehand peony in Chinese painting
The most important thing in painting peony is to show the graceful and restrained temperament of peony flowers, but it is often prone to "three diseases": one is improper color, bright red and green, sharp and harsh, bloated and tired, that is, "sweet and vulgar". Second, the powder is thick, dry and smeared, stagnant and greasy, and the color is turbid. This is called "powder gas". Branches, stems, branches, colors or ink should be strong and avoid weakness. It is appropriate to show the thickness of the circle with a pen in the center. Don't feel dry when painting peony flowers, but give full play to the infiltration function of rice paper. The shade of flowers mainly depends on water, not on white. Once the white is thick, the pen will be astringent, greasy and not smooth, resulting in a hardened and dry effect. After the moisture is increased, write quickly with a pen. When it is wet, the petals can be obviously colored and moist. If we want to pursue a variety of petal images, we must use a variety of brushwork, such as center, side, back, dragging pen and so on. And the single-point method will inevitably appear the same petals. Painting red peony flowers, once accompanied by green leaves, is too strong in contrast and makes people feel tacky. In order to make the picture stable and refined, we should draw leaves with ink to suppress the fiery situation and achieve visual color balance. Only in this way can we be "gorgeous but not vulgar".
Color matching method of peony flowers
Safflower: use vermilion, scarlet and eosin. Take cinnabar as the main color, change red into basic color, and paint the pen tip with morning light. You can also paint peony red on the belly of the pen and rouge on the tip of the pen, which is thick and vigorous, otherwise it will look thin when it is dry.
Pink: pen root white+pen belly peony red+pen tip rouge.
Yellow flower: yellow with white, and the nib is the harmonious color of ochre and vermilion. The flower core can be painted with white or rouge. You can also paint the roots with white powder, the abdomen with rattan yellow and the tip with green. When cleaning, use Zhu Qing or rouge as the nib.
Orange: the root of the pen is ochre, the belly of the pen is red and the tip of the pen is rouge.
Blue flower: a blue flower with white and a small amount of eosin as the basic color, and the pen tip is painted with blue flowers. You can also use the white powder at the root of the pen, the cyan peptide at the belly of the pen and the rouge at the tip of the pen to draw.
Purple flower: white is mixed with rouge and cyanine, and the pen tip is dipped in rouge. After completion, the depth of the flower heart will be increased again with thick rouge, and the petals will be richer. You can also add rouge to the white powder, which is purple and a little peptide blue.
White flowers: grass green with a little ochre and a little ink as the basic color. It is pure white when painting, and the pen tip is the basic color. After completion, you can use green to highlight the dark parts and flower hearts, and pure white to emphasize the bright petals.
Ink flower: writing fast and using a pen decisively will become a fresh and carefree feeling. Don't revise it repeatedly. After the ink is dried, the flower heart is decorated with opaque mineral colors such as azurite, azurite and cinnabar. Be bold when drawing petals, don't leave blank.
Black peony: peony red+rouge+ink to make black purple.
Er Qiao: When the pink is dry (it won't destroy the flower shape across colors), draw a deep purple.
Green: white with grass green and a little cinnabar as the basic color, and the grass green of the pen tip is drawn from the reverse part. It is more appropriate for azurite to paint the ovary.
Crimson: red mixed with a little eosin as the basic color, and the pen tip is rouge. Use the pen neatly, avoid using the pen repeatedly, so as not to draw "paste". The difficult thing is to master the water. There is no heavy feeling when there is more color in water, and it is easy to appear dry and dull when there is less water. Only the right moisture can be thick and moist.
