Zhang Wenbo's Zhang Wenbo
Zhang Wenbo has been fond of painting since he was a child. Back then, in Dandong No. 4 Middle School, his art teacher gave him precious artistic enlightenment. During the years when he went to the countryside, because of his painting expertise, he was repeatedly transferred to the county cultural center to create peasant paintings. In 1979, Zhang Wenbo returned to Dandong City and was fortunate enough to engage in a career closely related to his hobbies and expertise - conducting decoration research at the Dandong Decoration Research Institute. A few years later, he went to the Municipal Cultural Palace to specialize in the design and creation of movie posters. 1997 was a watershed in Zhang Wenbo's life. After graduating from Northeast Normal University with a major in art education, he became a teacher in his forties and teaches at what is now Liaodong College.
From a young boy in his prime to an accomplished university associate professor, Zhang Wenbo has walked all the way with a clear concept of art creation. Nowadays, every time he faces the canvas, he has long since got rid of the loneliness he felt at the beginning of creation, and is replaced by the infinite joy of the fusion of mind and soul. At that moment, he felt that he was having a soul-deep dialogue with the work. He is not controlling the canvas. What should be painted where and what color should be used? It seems that the canvas is quietly hinting and guiding him to paint. That is the pure and harmonious state in which the painter's spirit is at a distance between concreteness and abstraction. In his painting world, art and life are parallel. Zhang Wenbo believes that the nature of creation is the same as workmanship, and its "product" attribute will form the distinction between art and non-art in the aesthetic object. In fact, art has no "content" in his concept of painting, only form exists.
Nowadays, Zhang Wenbo has gradually become better in the field of oil painting creation. His oil paintings have participated in many domestic and foreign exhibitions and won awards. Among them, oil paintings such as "Lotus Leaf" and "Tiger Head Crab" were selected into the large-scale album "Chinese Sketch Collection" published by Hong Kong Han and Tang Art Publishing House and China Ethnic Photography Publishing House. He himself was awarded the title of Outstanding Artist; and there are many paintings His works are in private collections in Germany and Singapore. Many of the students he carefully trained have been admitted to major art schools such as Tsinghua University, Central Academy of Fine Arts, and Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts.
At middle age, Zhang Wenbo has formed his own unique painting style on the creative path of "restoring life" and "green development". We believe that in Zhang Wenbo's persistent and unremitting pursuit, his works will continue to decorate the infinite spring scenery in the art garden with a personalized style.
