China Landscape Painting Appreciation, a four-month elective course, has come to an end unconsciously. Looking back on the four-month study and discussion, I can't help feeling a lot.
Appreciating China's landscape painting is a profound knowledge, but it is also common sense. Because of its charm and artistic conception, it will not only make people who know this art deeply immersed in it, but also make people who don't know this art relaxed and happy. It is precisely because of this that a large number of people like it, want to know about it and are attracted by it. I am one of the 10,000 people in Qian Qian, and I am very happy to choose this course.
With this vision, I started elective courses this semester. The teacher didn't let me down. Every class will make me feel unforgettable, wandering between mountains and rivers, poetry and painting. After studying this semester, I learned a lot:
First of all, landscape painting is an art category that best embodies the cultural spirit of China, and it is one of the three most representative art categories at the peak of human art. Why does landscape painting have such a high position in the treasure house of human art? That's because landscape painting itself is closely related to the relationship between man and nature, and people have realized the infinite possibilities of landscape painting in the process of expressing nature. From the deep roots of culture, there are fundamental differences in cultural concepts between Chinese and Western cultures, which makes China's landscape painting and Western landscape painting have completely different ways of expression, thus showing the lofty artistic conception of China's landscape painting.
When appreciating China's landscape paintings, the teacher emphasizes a poetic spirit, and we should use this poetic aesthetic concept to observe the artistic realm of landscape paintings. Metaphysics prevailed in Wei and Jin Dynasties, and there were many famous people in Wei and Jin Dynasties who taught as nature, talked about life and transcended the secular world. Qingyuan lived a broad artistic life. They put their hearts into the mountains and rivers to satisfy their artistic life in nature, thus creating landscape poems. The development and maturity of landscape poetry is the product of aesthetic consciousness of the relationship between man and nature, which provides an important spiritual foundation for the future development of landscape painting.
In my opinion, China's philosophy regards nature as the whole of life, as Mr. Xu said in The Spirit of China Art: "Nature can be personified and personality can be naturalized". The root of landscape painting comes from our inner understanding of natural landscape. Therefore, the theme of landscape painting is around the relationship between man and nature, and it is a portrayal and expression of the unity of everything and the inner world. Appreciating landscape painting, paying attention to the unity of mind and meaning, is intentional in itself, that is, it requires the appreciator to be similar in shape and desire, so as to achieve the realm of intertwined form and spirit.
The performance of landscape painting involves China people's demand for space, that is, "take its potential far away, get its quality near", and observe its potential far away and its shape close. Qiu Ting thinks that the spatial treatment of China's landscape painting is poetic, especially the plot development shown by the hand scroll, just like a visual landscape poem. He said that poetry will affect the visual form of landscape painting and the way we watch and express it. Any visual thing is conceptual, and what supports visual expression is the artistic concept and values behind it, which is an important prerequisite for the appreciation of landscape painting.

I believe that I can better appreciate the roadside scenery and better understand and enjoy my future life by taking the course of "China Landscape Painting Appreciation".
