What are the advantages and disadvantages of these three mainstream dual-camera schemes?

At present, there are almost three mainstream dual-camera solutions for smart phones. The first one is similar to the "wide-angle+telephoto lens" on the iPhone, with a wide-angle lens for close shot and a telephoto lens for long shot to realize the function of optical zoom. The second is similar to the "black and white+color lens" used by Huawei. Black and white lenses are responsible for shooting details, and color lenses are filled with colors. In order to optimize the resolution of photos and the quality of night scenes, this scheme is the most used one. There is also the "primary and secondary lenses with different pixels" used for the first time on HTC M8. The high pixel lens is responsible for imaging, and the sub lens measures the depth of field.

The most intuitive thing is that all three kinds of lenses can simulate the depth of field effect similar to that of large aperture lenses, but they are all synthesized by algorithms. At present, the depth-of-field photos taken by the algorithm are all fake, and the dual cameras can be used for 3D modeling in principle. At present, there is no better realization and the technology is not very mature.

Although it is really lame, for ordinary users, the camera quality of mobile phones is getting better and better, and with the introduction of deep learning function, the camera algorithm of mobile phones will become more and more real.

For example, iPhone 8, through bionic chip and brand-new image signal processor, can apply preset light and shadow template to simulate lighting effect after 3D modeling of human face. In the field of traditional photography, photographers need to fill the light manually. And such an analog lighting function will certainly be quickly followed by other manufacturers.

I also hope that some domestic mobile phone brands will stop shouting about dual-camera SLR, and don't think their products are very tasty just because they hang a cooperative logo on their mobile phones.
