Behind-the-scenes production of mutton paomo hot spicy dip

Creation background

In 2002, by chance, Zhang Ali saw Gong Deyin's news and was deeply moved. A creative impulse flooded into his heart, and he immediately wrote a documentary. The script was shelved because there was no investor's sponsorship. In 2007, he discussed with director Pu Jian for a long time, turned a real story into a fictional story, and got the script of the movie "Mutton Paomo Mala Tang".

Narrative structure

Director Pu Jian said that the screenwriter did not complete the script in a three-stage structure. But when he conceived the director and compiled the director's workbench, he changed it into a three-stage structure and designed a keyword for each paragraph. The plot and characters in each paragraph revolve around this keyword. The first paragraph is money, the second paragraph is prescription and the third paragraph is toilet paper. In chronological order, the second story happened before the first story.

Language innovation

The film is shot with a digital high-definition camera, which also facilitates the innovation of film language. When the three unrelated characters in the film communicate, there are a lot of telephone conversations. The traditional shooting method is alternating editing, but the film adopts the way of picture segmentation, which breaks the traditional montage editing. In the film, Wang Cai calls for a scene of Malangtao Hotel, which has four divided pictures with clips in it.
