Thames Town Prose

When the spring breeze in Jiang Nanan is green, follow the tour group to Thames Town.

Thames Town is located in Songjiang New Town, Shanghai, with an area of only one square kilometer. By the continuous multi-functional pedestrian street and lakeside English square as the main axis, it integrates commercial hospitals, supermarkets, churches and villa apartments, full of life atmosphere and fun.

Follow the guide, cross the street, cross the green belt, face the five characters "Thames Town" on the ochre marble wall, enter the gate, and see a bronze statue girl standing with a book in her left hand and a tender love in her hand. She is a nurse named Nightingale. Her affectionate eyes warm the whole world, and "International Nurses' Day" comes because of her.

Walking across a small bridge, on the bank of the river, the willows of Yiyi hung their eyebrows and looked very gentle, reflecting the gorgeous pink. Yesterday's Jiang Nanyu was still hanging on the technical side, reflecting a hangover. With the rhythm of the spring breeze, there was the soul of spring, and I forgot to look back and shed tears of acacia. Looking up, the blue sky carries clouds like butterflies dancing in the world of mortals. At present, British European classical architecture presents a romantic petty bourgeoisie sentiment.

The streets of Thames Town organically combine the natural and smooth road system with the beautiful rivers. On a multifunctional pedestrian street, European-style chairs and bamboo swing chairs, accompanied by an unnamed bronze statue of an English gentleman, are full of romance. Look, there is a pair of bronze statues of men and women sitting in a row of chairs in the square next to the wedding photography studio in Paris. From a distance, tourists used to sit among them, or put their shoulders on boys, or put their arms on girls, or put their hands on two bronze statues at the same time, or solemn or smiling, or naughty or cute, leaving a permanent memorial. The thighs of bronze statues of men and women are obviously made of brass, which is the favorite of tourists for bronze statues. This is the town.

I turned several places and didn't know where to go, so I had to consult the security guard in the red imitation British military police uniform and follow his direction all the way. The peaceful Thames town is still asleep at this time, but the quiet plane trees are trimmed by greening personnel. We walked carefully along the edge of the holly tree, and the English villa area showed an exotic style like oil painting. Carved beams and painted buildings are exquisite and delicate, and there are teenagers spreading their wings in one corner of the eaves gallery. I don't know what that means. By the fence, the red camellia, although it has blossomed and fallen, is clearly a butterfly spirit, falling in the soil, half dead and half alive. "Scattered into mud, ground into dust", accompanied by the loneliness of flowers, waiting for the spring of next year, flying in the branches, bathing in beautiful spring together.

Standing in the square, the towering building has a distinctive "cross" on the spire, which is the Catholic church in Thames Town. Along the way, the tour guide explained the difference between Catholicism and Christianity in detail. Although different, they are all the same virgin. I am an atheist, I think, as long as I concentrate on doing good deeds. Just after nine o'clock in the morning, before the church door opened, I walked around the church. Look carefully, the four large glasses are beautifully painted, and the portrait of the Virgin Mary is lifelike. Next to the church, rows of black pines stand, simple and ancient, and the shade is like a wonderful static picture scroll under the dialysis of the sun, adding a bit of boundless mystery to the church.

I saw the words "Thinker's Coffee Book Gallery" along the way. It must be a book. In fact, there is also a book bar called Eslite Bookstore in Suzhou, which is a reading place integrating books, coffee and light meals. Suzhou Eslite Bookstore is Taiwan Province's first branch in Chinese mainland. I have been there several times, where the reading atmosphere is strong, and I can relax and increase my knowledge in soothing music ... But the Thinker Coffee Bookstore here is closed, and I really want to feel the silence of the times. Helpless, the bookstore buried my yearning and missed this moment. When can I exchange with it instantly? Where is the passing time, with my persistence? Maybe this is fate, people meet and know each other, not like this. Missed the fate of dust, I can only keep a cherished heart for you and look forward to the arrival of the next spring.

An hour passed unconsciously, and I had to leave the town reluctantly. At the entrance of the town, a man dressed as a Taoist priest waved a long sword with two handles under the theme song of the background music Legend of the Condor Heroes. The wonderful dance is finished. In the applause of the crowd, it is like a crane spreading its wings, shuttling like Youlong, sometimes as light as a swallow, sometimes as fast as lightning, and people and swords are one. In this English town, it is a combination of Chinese and western, with the emotional appeal of eastern samurai.

Looking back and gazing at Thames Town, trees, flowers and plants are dotted around English villas, which looks quaint, warm, elegant and serene. Green branches, playing symphonies, wander in the spring through poetry and painting, just like touching a graceful picture of Jiangnan beauty.
