Is photography an art independent of painting?

Photography is an art category relying on modern science and technology, and it is an art in itself.

And because of the particularity of photography, it has two characteristics: documentary and light and shadow coordination. It does not belong to the category of painting, but belongs to the category of art. Painting itself is only a branch of the art category. Simply put, there is one art, one photography and several others. Art includes painting, sculpture, calligraphy, arts and crafts, modern industrial design and so on. Photography and art are at the same level.
