What is curve composition and what are the skills?
A curve in the shape of the letter "C"
C-shaped lines are probably the most common, because almost any curve fits this definition-seashore, lake, boulder or arch bent by a gust of wind.
You can often see an old oak lane in the park. The branches of these oak trees form an awning overhead.
Arched door
Arches are another example of curves. In the natural arch, if you want to shoot artificial arches, it is recommended to shoot multiple repeated arch shapes.
Arches can often be seen in some ancient buildings, which can form beautiful curved shapes.
S-curve
The "S" curve has a fascinating effect on the viewer, and when the viewer's eyes move from the foreground to the background, it will also produce depth in the picture. Estuaries, winding roads and paths are usually "S"-shaped.
At the mouth of the river, you can shoot the "S" curve effect by looking for a winding bend.
boundary line
Lakes, ponds or other waters have ripples and many round man-made objects. In architecture, you can usually find a composition that combines many curves, which increases the depth and diversity of photography.
Implicit curve
Compared with the previous examples, the most effective and accurate way to use curves is to use implicit curves.
When the object in the picture itself forms a certain form, an implicit curve is obtained. In such an image, there are no ready-made lines, such as estuaries. On the contrary, the photographer needs to work hard to make the composition so that the object forms a certain shape.
abstract
If you are guiding the audience's line of sight. So, please think carefully about where you think the audience should start to get familiar with the photos and where they should end.
Use other synthetic techniques. For example, you can make the composition symmetrical, or use the trisection and combine it with the curved shape.
Make sure the picture is balanced and the curve is not too close to the edge of the picture.
The next time you shoot, aim to find as many curves as possible, which will make your work more interesting and beautiful.
