Xi 'an Conservatory of Music is located in the southern suburb of Xi, a thousand-year-old capital. Founded in 1949, it is the only music college in northwest China.

The college now has eight departments of composition, orchestral music, folk music, vocal music, keyboard, music education, musicology and dance, with more than 40 professional directions. The second-level conservatory of music has four orchestras (symphony orchestra, national orchestra, chorus and symphony orchestra), and the postgraduate education covers all professional directions except the dance department.

Over the past 50 years, the world has changed, and Yin Xi people have been rooted in the yellow land for generations. They have worked hard to cultivate a large number of outstanding professionals for the country, realizing the integration of tradition and the times and the common progress and prosperity of the nation and the world music.
