The first part of "Harry Potter" was filmed in the UK.

"Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" is adapted from the novel of the same name by the British best-selling author J.K. Rowling. The film's script was written by Stephen Clover, directed by Chris Columbus, and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Richard Harris and Ian · Hart and others co-starred. The film was released in the United States on November 16, 2001.

The movie tells the story of Harry Potter, a little boy whose parents died when he was young and a descendant of a wizard. His parents were killed by a bad wizard in the wizarding world. However, when the bad wizard also tried to kill Harry Potter, he was stopped by a huge force, so Harry Potter survived. After that, he lived with his aunt's family and was sent to a magician school, where he had many interesting and incredible experiences.

Before the film was officially shot, Spielberg had intended to direct the film, but because Spielberg planned to use Haley Joel Osment to play Haley Leigh Porter, while the producers insisted on finding a young British actor to play Harry. The two parties could not reach an agreement, and Spielberg had to break up with the film. So the producers launched another director selection, kicked out well-known directors such as Tim Robbins and Wolfgang Peterson, and finally chose Chris Columbus.

In October 2000, the film officially started filming in the UK. In order to produce a well-produced work, the film's crew shot in nine photography studios in the UK, with a total cost of US$125 million.

Almost all of the adult actors in the film are top-notch British performing artists. The theme song "The Boy Who Lived" in the play will be sung by Celine Dion, and the lyrics and composition are the two masters who wrote "My Heart Will Go On" James Horner and Will Jenning.
