How can I become a journalist?

News interview is an effective duty to realize people's right to know. Therefore, press cards are only issued to full-time editors of news organizations.

News organizations include news newspapers, news periodical publishers, news agencies, radio stations, television stations, news film studios and so on.

First of all, you must work in a media organization recognized by state organs. Many media organizations require personnel to formally join the job for more than one year before arranging qualification training. After passing the qualification training, you can obtain a certificate issued by the State Press and Publication Administration, and apply for a journalist's card with this certificate. An editor with a press card is a journalist in the strict sense.

To apply for a press card, you must meet the following conditions:

1, abide by national laws and regulations, news discipline, and abide by the professional ethics of journalists;

2. Have a college degree or above, and have the qualification of news editing recognized by the relevant departments of the State Council;

3. Engaged in news gathering and editing within the establishment of news organizations, or formally employed by news organizations to engage in news gathering and editing;
