What do the slog2 and slog3 of Sony Micro-Single mean?

Sony camera slog2 refers to Sony's own color style technology. There are Canon's clogs and Panasonic's vlog on the market. Because the curve of each company is different, the corresponding LUT is adopted respectively.

Sony's primary color slog2 is closer to true color, and slog3 is a new specification but not a follow-up specification, and its characteristics are closer to movies. Slog 3' s 18% gray scale is brighter than slog 2' s, and the gradient from shadow to skin color is brighter, but the gradient is slightly lost.

Sony's slow motion cannot be used directly. Can only be used after mixed colors. Through color matching, normal saturation can be reproduced, highlights and dark details can be extracted, images can be artistically processed, and CG special effects can be synthesized, which is the advantage of slog pictures.

Extended data:

Slog was originally used for film digitization, for digital film shooting and recording as many gamma curves as possible. That is to say, compared with the in-machine optimized shooting mode, slow shooting can obtain images with wide color gamut, large dynamic range and rich layering, and excellent images can be produced later.
