How does Canon 5D Mark II shoot the night scene?
Canon 5D Mark II How to Shoot Night Scenes Canon 5D Mark II can shoot clear night scenes in dark places as follows:
Shooting data
EOS 5D Mark II /EF 35mm f/2/ Aperture Priority Automatic Exposure (F2.0, 1/30s)/ Exposure Compensation: -0.7 ev/ISO400/ White Balance: Automatic.
The light in the store is the main light source, and the handy EF 35mm f/2 is used for hand-held shooting. The larger the aperture, the brighter the lens, so only a small amount of light is needed to ensure the shutter speed of 1/30 seconds, which can not only avoid hand shake, but also greatly reduce the subject shake. In addition, because of the 35mm viewing angle, the lens can capture a wide background, which is most suitable for capturing night scenes that need to be shot together with the surrounding environment.
Only a bright lens can capture the night scene.
Step 1: Select the maximum aperture in the aperture priority automatic exposure mode.
As long as there is no special creative intention, the maximum aperture is usually used when taking a night view snapshot. If the aperture is reduced by one level, the shutter speed will be reduced by half (the exposure time will be doubled) and the possibility of jitter will increase. So please note that it is best not to reduce the aperture without a particularly good reason.
Step 2: Set the ISO sensitivity.
According to the brightness of the shooting scene, for a 35mm lens, the shutter speed should reach about1/30s for relatively stable hand-held shooting, so it is necessary to improve the ISO sensitivity. Although ISO automation can also be used, the ISO sensitivity may rise too high unconsciously. If you pay attention to image quality, please select ISO manually.
Important: Use the function of automatically setting the ISO upper limit.
EOS 60D and other models have added the function of automatically setting the highest ISO sensitivity for ISO. If you use this function, the ISO sensitivity will not exceed the set value regardless of the brightness of the surrounding environment, thus ensuring that users can shoot high-quality night scenes quickly and conveniently. So, if your camera supports this function, you'd better make full use of it.
Step 3: Use the lights in the shop as the main light source.
In addition to shooting the light source itself, you should also illuminate the subject when shooting people. Here, the light from the grocery store is used as the main light source, and the white balance is set to automatic to preserve and use the orange-red color unique to tungsten lamp. Be careful not to overcompensate the color temperature of the main light source when shooting night scenes, which is more conducive to restoring the atmosphere of the scene.
Step 4: Pay attention to the orientation of the face and the direction of the shadow.
Generally speaking, when people take pictures with sidelight as in the legend, they should face the light source. Depending on the light source, the shadow may be too strong. At this time, it is necessary to change the orientation of the face, control the light and shadow, and reduce the contrast between light and dark. Please always pay attention to the light and shadow on your face when shooting at night.
