The World Photojournalism Competition (WPP) was launched in the Netherlands in 1955, so it is also known as the Netherlands, and is considered as the most authoritative event in the international professional photojournalism competition.

Over the past 40 years, the scale of world news photography has been expanding. Up to now, there are nearly 10,000 entries from dozens of countries every year, and the contest has grown to 9 categories 18, which is the most extensive, representative and authoritative news photo contest in the world. Its works have witnessed the times and history of human life.

The "Lotus Award" is divided into breaking news, general news, news figures, sports actions, sports topics, contemporary hot spots, daily life, portraits, art and nature *** 10, and each category is also divided into two categories: single photo and group photo, with a maximum of 12 photos. First, second and third prizes will be awarded for each project, and one photo of the best news of the year will be awarded from 20 projects in the 10 category of all the entries.
