On the Industrial Design of Zhejiang University
Industrial design refers to industrial product design based on engineering, aesthetics and economics. Industrial design can be divided into four categories: product design, environmental design, communication design and design management, including modeling design, mechanical design, circuit design, clothing design, environmental planning, interior design, architectural design, UI design, graphic design, packaging design, advertising design, animation design, display design and website design. Industrial design is also called industrial product. Industrial design involves psychology, sociology, aesthetics, ergonomics, mechanical structure, photography, chromatics and so on. Industrial design brought by industrial development and division of labor is obviously different from other arts, production activities, craft production and so on. It is the intersection of various disciplines, technologies and aesthetic concepts.
