Yaomaoshu

Yao Maoshu was born in Leshan City, Sichuan Province. Minjiang River, Dadu River and Qingyi River, tributaries of the Yangtze River, meet like three white rivers in Leshan, and the famous Leshan Giant Buddha stands at the majestic confluence of the three rivers. You can meet the Yangtze River less than 200 meters south along the Minjiang River. In this land, great writers such as Su Dongpo and Guo Moruo were born. Rich soil, beautiful scenery, long and simple historical and cultural customs have nurtured him and made him have a pure heart of loving nature since he was a child. Maoshu grew up by the Yangtze River, and he liked to chase waves in the rapids since he was a child, and he had a particularly deep affection for the Yangtze River. With the growth of age and the deepening of experience, his understanding of the Yangtze River has deepened step by step. He feels that people know too little about the Yangtze River, and he always wants to do something about it. ...

1979, after reading the report about Uemura Naomi, a famous Japanese explorer, exploring the North Pole alone and drifting in the Amazon River, Yao Maoshu admired the explorer's brave adventure and pioneering spirit. At this moment, he had a bold idea to drift and explore the Yangtze River!

Yao Maoshu is determined to drift along the Yangtze River. He immediately devoted himself to the preparation of drifting: he mastered the information of geology, hydrology, climate, customs and other aspects of the Yangtze River. I have read and studied hundreds of books and local chronicles about the Yangtze River and its basins. He visited the Yangtze River on foot many times, learned about the water situation, adapted to the climate, determined the drifting route and prepared for the reception station. ...

1985 On the eve of the Spring Festival, he once again came to Jinsha River in Yunnan, ready to try drifting in the world-famous Tiger Leaping Gorge. He climbed the Yulong Snow Mountain and Hama Snow Mountain with difficulty, observed and understood the whole canyon, decided the drifting route, then tied a nylon rope on the river at the narrowest part of Tiger Leaping Gorge, and then began drifting. Tiger leaping gorge is 12km long, with steep slopes and steep waves and dense reefs. The spray is more than five meters high, with a big drop, and several steep cliffs and flowing water appear one after another. The raft flew down and crashed left and right, and Yao Maoshu rowed desperately, to no avail. The ship ran on a big rock and capsized. Fortunately, it was saved with good water and a big driftwood. Although he was in distress this time, he knew the water situation in Tiger Leaping Gorge and knew how to deal with it.

His detailed plan gradually matured. He decided to reach the source of the Yangtze River 1985 in mid-August and start the Yangtze River drifting exploration.

Just as Yao Maoshu was preparing to drift on the Yangtze River as planned, he got the exact news from the relevant departments that American explorer Warren Ken would visit China in August 1985. He's really anxious. "The Yangtze River, which has been surging in China for thousands of years, must be conquered by people from other countries first? No, you can't! " Besides, he has been preparing for six years, and he doesn't want to let his years of efforts go to waste. He kept repeating the idea in his heart: "I should walk in front of foreigners!" " "He excitedly wrote four big words in his diary:" Act in advance! "

/KOOC-0/985 June/KOOC-0/2/KOOC-0/0, Yao Maoshu and his brother Yao Maojiang, with the help of Tibetan compatriots, crossed the swamp meadow and climbed the Xuefeng Mountain, marching for five days and five nights in the desolate and cold area of Wan Li. After many hardships, they finally reached the source of the Yangtze River. At 4 o'clock on the afternoon of June 20, Uncle Mao pushed the rubber dinghy with the words "descendants of the dragon" written on both sides into the water. Since ancient times, the history of no one drifting on the Yangtze River has ended. People's Republic of China (PRC), a simple and brave young man, the son of a people who loves the motherland and the Yangtze River, started his pioneering work of drifting on the Yangtze River that shocked the world.

Uncle Mao sat on the boat, scooped a handful of cold water from the source of the Yangtze River with both hands and drank it, then picked up the sculls. He deliberately slapped the water and splashed beautiful waves ... this was the launching ceremony for Yao Maoshu to drift across the Yangtze River at his own expense.

The rubber boat drifted slowly. The two brothers Mao Shu carefully distinguished the current and rowed forward day and night.

The next morning, they went to a canyon called Sandy, and the water became bigger. The river bends here and turns to the east. When Mao Shu got off the boat and filmed, he said to Mao Jiang, "This should be the first bay of the Yangtze River." In the afternoon, they drifted to a stone mountain. There are many rugged rocks on the mountain. Rocks and grass are yellow. Uncle Mao refused to listen to his brother's advice and insisted on going up the mountain to shoot, saying, "The more dangerous the place, the more you have to shoot. There will be no big problems. " Uncle Mao went ashore to shoot. Soon, Mao Jiang, who was on sentry duty on the ship, found a yellow thing less than 100 meters away from Uncle Mao. When he looked carefully, it was a brown bear, which scared Mao Jiang to shout loudly. When Uncle Mao found Brown Bear, the bear was very close to him. He picked up the camera and ran. When he got on the boat and rowed to the middle of the river, the bear was only a dozen meters away from them. He stood on the shore and kept barking at them, scaring Mao Jiang into a cold sweat

After three days and two nights of drifting, with a journey of 375 kilometers, they arrived at Tuotuo River, the first small village in the source area of the Yangtze River, at noon on the 23rd, and completed the first stage of drifting plan.

On the 24th, my younger brother Yao Maojiang's holiday was full, and the two brothers hugged each other and cried by the river.

On July 2, Yao Maoshu went into the water again and headed for the Tiantong section of the Yangtze River alone.

He crossed the Tongtian River Bridge, and it rained for a long time not far away. He walked in the rain and was soaked to the skin. There are many shoals in Tongtian River, and it rains against the wind. Rowing is quite difficult. From time to time, you have to launch a tugboat, which is slow. In order to speed up the ship, he sailed in the rapids. In a few days, he ran into several small canyons, turned over several waves and floated down smoothly.

On July 6, he rested on the way and rowed forward again. Turning a corner, I suddenly heard a roar of water in front of me, only to see white waves surging. Uncle Mao quickly fastened his life jacket. At this point, the rubber boat has fallen into steep waves, such as an arrow leaving the string, rushing to the throat of the sea. Maoshu paddled hard, crossed the peak and fell into the valley. The wind is very strong, and he feels dizzy. There is only one thought in his mind: rush over. A big wave several meters high flooded the bow, and the rubber dinghy was swallowed up by the big wave and then emerged from the wave. With the residual potential of big waves, Mao Shu paddled quickly and finally rushed out of his throat.

In the afternoon, continuing drifting, he managed to break through the smoke barrier and hang in the canyon. The valley is gradually widening, with lush mountains and green grass on both sides, and there are many wild animals on the shore, including antelopes, wild donkeys and white-lipped deer. Uncle Mao picked up the camera and started shooting. White-lipped deer are not afraid of people, and some actually chase ships on the shore. ...

On the evening of July 7, he stayed on a small continent in the middle of the river. A few nights ago, in the evil wind and rain, his clothes and quilt were soaked, and he was attacked by blind bears and wolves. He often takes a Tibetan knife and uses a flashlight and lit firecrackers to scare away wild animals. In the lonely night, the bear growled and howled, which made him jumpy and sleepless all night. And tonight, the stars are all over the sky, the moon is particularly bright, and the deep and wide river on all sides is isolated from the harassment of wild animals. Under the boundless sky, in the empty and lonely fields, the river is sparkling and the stars are shining. What a quiet night! Uncle Mao silently misses his relatives who are eager for news of his safety in the distance.

These days, all the places where Uncle Mao drifted are no man's land. This evening, I began to see Tibetans. In the twilight, Tibetans on banks, hillsides and steep cliffs saw a red boat drifting down from the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. A man was wearing a red life jacket, a gold hat and a black surfboard in front of him. I don't know what it is. I thought it was the reincarnation of a living Buddha, and the river god descended to earth. So they threw Ciba, beef and mutton on Maoshu's boat and kept kowtowing to the river. Yao Maoshu was at a loss.

July 10, drifting to Qidukou. Below Qidukou is the lower reaches of Tongtian River. The peaks on the banks of the river are close together, and there are many dangerous beaches in the valleys of the river, and the water potential is even greater. Drifting of hairy trees is more dangerous and difficult.

16 at 4: 00 pm on July 16, Uncle Mao finally crossed the Tongtian River, successfully completed the voyage of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River 1 187 km, and arrived at Zhimenda, Yushu Prefecture, Qinghai Province.

On the morning of July 23rd 10: 47, Yao Maoshu bid farewell to Zhimen University and sailed into the choppy Jinsha River.

On this day, Yao Maoshu broke through more than a dozen dangerous beaches in the rapids, closed the boat at 8 pm and stayed on a cliff. Before going to bed, he wrote down the drifting diary of the last day.

Maoshu finally broke into the Jinsha River. Jinsha River is the focus of Yao Maoshu's whole drifting. During the drifting process of more than 300 kilometers upstream/kloc-0, we have accumulated rich experience in crossing dangerous beaches. He will go to the world-famous Grand Canyon Tiger Leaping Gorge with a hundred times confidence and a strong desire to fight, and show the world the extraordinary wisdom and courage of the people of China. ...

However, something unexpected happened. On July 24th, Yao Maoshu, our drifting warrior, was killed when he was drifting in the Tong Jia Canyon in the upper reaches of Jinsha River.

In the 5,000-year history of China, Lapras's first hero, the son of another loyal and brave Chinese nation, gave his young life for the dignity of the motherland and the pride of the dragon.

Yao Maoshu left us and found his home in the Yangtze River. He is like the first drop of spring water melted from the source of the Yangtze River glacier, which flows into thousands of rivers and turns into rolling waves, rushing to the sea and the world with overwhelming power. ...
