Brief Introduction of Art College of Dalian Medical University

The Art College of Dalian Medical University (formerly the Department of Photography and the School of Video Art) was founded by Dalian Medical University and Japan-China Yonghe Association on 1993. It is a national regular four-year undergraduate art major, and now it is independently funded by Japan CRC Co., Ltd. The college has two majors: photography and art design, with the training direction and teaching and research department of photo photography, commercial photography, film and television media, image design and visual communication design, and a comprehensive laboratory for art teaching with complete facilities and functions. The College takes the lead in implementing the credit system by stages in the academic year, offering nearly 50 professional courses such as art theory, professional foundation and professional technology, so as to train senior photographers for the cultural and artistic circles, industrial and commercial enterprises, scientific research, journalism and education. This major is the first of its kind to set up art majors in science colleges in China, and it has established the only training base for master of photography in China in cooperation with the University of Bolton, England, which has cultivated Chinese and foreign graduate students and enjoyed a good reputation in similar majors and photography circles at home and abroad.
