The legendary swordsman is a costume martial arts TV series adapted from Jin Yong's martial arts novel of the same name. The film is directed by and starring Li, Li, Li, Li and Li Jie.

The play tells the story of Ling Huchong, a disciple of Huashan School, who meets Quyang and Liu Zhengfeng by chance and gets a the legendary swordsman score. He also accidentally learned the essence of swordsmanship of various schools in the Five Mountains, and was expelled from his old school because he was suspected by Master Yue Buqun. After alienating Yue Lingshan, whom I liked since childhood, I met and fell in love with Ren Yingying, a holy nun of magic religion, during my travels in Jianghu. Finally, after Yue Buqun's ambition was exposed, Ling Huchong stepped in to stop the war and retired from the Jianghu with Ren Yingying to play the legendary swordsman.

Shooting process

The drama started shooting in Shuihu Town, Wuxi Film and Television Base, on March 27th, 2000. The scene is set in the scenic spots of Shuihu Town, such as Shanghetu Street in Qingming Festival, Taigong Courtyard in Song Dynasty, Zhangdu Prison and Zishi Street. The crew set up 30 studios in Shuihu City, among which "Siya" Cave is 9 meters high and covers an area of 1.200 square meters. In addition to Wuxi, the locations also include Shaoxing, Xinchang, Fenghua and Huangshan, Anhui. In addition, the crew spent 800 thousand to build the "hanging temple" needed in the play, but it took a day to play.
