I Tokyo University of the Arts

Tokyo University of the Arts is the oldest art institution in Japan and the only national university in Japan. It is recognized as the highest artist training institution in Japan.

The school is divided into two departments: art department and music department. The fine arts department is divided into painting department, sculpture department, craft department, design department, architecture department, top art performance department and art discipline. Music department is divided into 14 disciplines, including composition department, conducting department, vocal department, instrumental department, bang department, music science department and music environment creation department.

Second, Tama University of Fine Arts

Referred to as "Duomei", Duomei is the largest academy of fine arts in Japan. Its predecessor was a private girls' art school, which was built in 1900. It is the earliest women's art education institution in Japan. 1929 was renamed Women's Academy of Fine Arts, 1949 was upgraded to Women's University of Fine Arts, and 1950 added short-term universities (specialties). In the past century, Japan has trained many outstanding female artists. 1965 The Department of Fine Arts added a design major to recruit four-year undergraduate, graduate and junior college students. There are five major art universities in Tokyo: painting (oil painting, printmaking, Japanese painting), design (product design, graphic design, environmental design), technology (dyeing design, pottery, glass technology), and art (art history, chromatics, modeling theory). College students are: clothing major (clothing design, clothing culture, embroidery) and modeling major (painting, sculpture, information design, space design, life design). The research direction of master students is: art and design (visual modeling, environmental modeling, color planning). The research directions of doctoral students are: art history, color theory and modeling expression.

5. Art Department of Japanese University

The Art Department of Japan University is also one of the five largest universities in Tokyo. Although the art department of Japanese universities is not an independent institution like the other four schools, its strength is not inferior to the other four schools. Since its establishment, it has sent many artistic talents to Japan and the world.

Its majors include lighting, film, art, music, literature and art, drama, broadcasting, design, etc., providing students with all-round artistic guidance.
