How to move the lens in time-lapse photography
As for how far you move each time, it depends on the way you move, the distance of the subject, and your own preferences. The greater the distance of each movement, the greater the change of the angle, and the faster the final video will move. The general principle is that the farther away from the main target, the longer the distance you can move at a time.
Converted into angle, it is appropriate to change the viewing angle from 0.3 degrees to 1 degree every time when shooting horizontally. 0.6 degrees is the normal speed, 0.3 degrees is the slow speed, and each time 1 degree is faster. Calculated by 0.6 degrees per step, it is equivalent to 1% radian, and 1 radian means that the distance is equal to the arc length. That is to say, if the shooting distance is 50 meters away from the subject, then the moving distance can be about 0.5 meters each time.

Requirements for time-lapse photography:
1, equally spaced exposure
This is the most basic element of time-lapse photography, otherwise, for clouds and slow-moving objects, the picture will lose its minimum continuity. In order to achieve this goal, it is generally to shoot or pay-off regularly in the machine to ensure the consistent interval of shooting.
Of course, sometimes you can cheat. When there is no cloud and the interval is large, there are not many time series references, so unequal interval exposure can be carried out, which is convenient for manual shutter. Even on cloudy occasions, the shooting interval difference of 15% is generally invisible.
2. Always aim at the focus
We can often see a helicopter flying around a theme, or a video taken by a camera stabilizer around a person. This kind of shooting is around. Ideally, the radius from the subject is constant, and the center of the lens is always facing the object, exposing all angles of the object, forming a strong three-dimensional sense.
Step 3 keep the camera level
It is not enough to keep the subject stable and the focus fixed, because if the camera is not horizontal in the left and right direction, it will cause trouble. When the aiming point is not in the center of the lens, the later rotation cannot be completely corrected, and the edge of the picture will swing.
Specifically, the magnification of lens imaging is different from the center to the periphery, especially for wide-angle lenses, and the edge part will be stretched. If the camera does not keep a certain horizontal position, the imaging position of the edge object will be different from the center of the picture, and the expansion and contraction will be different.
