Syrian War: The world is still the same world, just...
With the U.S. government’s “precision strike” on Syria, news from various media has once again shocked the circle of friends.
I don’t understand politics, nor war. I don’t know what kind of temptation and core of interests are wrapped under the civilized cloak of world peace. What war is really like, apart from movie footage, we really have no idea.
After World War II, we performed world peace, and we sang and danced to the songs of civilization.
There is also a proverb circulating among the people:
Today, the precise strikes of "anti-terrorism" and "justice" by the United States, Britain and France have brought everyone's vision back to the "previous era." Syria, which has suffered seven years of war, is no longer the peaceful and peaceful ancient city of civilization. The past glory has disappeared, leaving only the blood, tears and dust accompanied by the smoke. Syria has been shattered.
One Syrian war after another, and batch after batch of Syrian refugees are hurting the hearts of the Chinese people all the time. The flames of war burning with desire have completely destroyed this devastated ancient city, which is undoubtedly the greatest irony of "world peace". For the people, peace, no matter how reluctant it is, is better than a just war.
Do you still remember the little Syrian boy whose body was found lying on the beach that shocked the world?
The boy named Aylan was only 3 years old. When he and his family were fleeing from the war, their boat capsized and they drowned.
Also drowned with him were his mother Reham and 5-year-old brother Galip. Only his father Abdullah Kurdi survived in the family of four. The family took a boat from Turkey to the Greek island of Kos. Not long after the boat left the shore, it was hit by huge waves and the boat capsized instantly.
The little boy’s story is not unique. Behind this pain are the 3 million refugees in Syria. Half of these refugees are children who have lost the childhood they should have had because of the war. They spent day after day in fear, lost their families, lost their love, or lived with difficulty, or were wiped out with the smoke of war.
As for those adults who flee, it will take them more than ten years to escape. After experiencing a near-death escape, they may still face the rejection of other countries and other difficulties in settling down.
The war destroyed not only their homeland, but also their future. They didn’t even know what hope was, and all they saw was confusion.
There is a young Syrian who is trying to get to Europe. He once escaped in a small boat, but the boat capsized on the way. He luckily escaped death, but most of the people on board drowned. He told reporters that they just want to find a quiet place where no one will hurt you, insult you, or kill you...
What makes people even more tearful is that facing the camera of the photographer , the little Syrian girl slowly raised her chubby little hands in surrender. She regarded the long lens as a gun. In her eyes, she could see nothing but fear and survival.
These stories are distant and heartbreaking. True peace cannot awaken the conscience of the killers. The beginning of the war is just a devil's wish, but the end is as far away as heaven. The war has burned away hope and the future of a generation in Syria. I cruelly hope that there will be more heart-wrenching photos, just like the little boy who was washed up on the beach, to awaken this greedy world and awaken the world's understanding of Face to face with war.
For the invaders, the government only gave the soldiers the title of "honor", but their lives also perished.
There is a cruel story originating from the United States' Vietnam War. After the Vietnam War, a surviving soldier called his parents before returning home to tell them he was still alive. While his parents were happy, he said he wanted to bring home a friend who had lost an arm and a leg in the war and wanted to live with his family. The parents refused righteously: "What a heavy burden that is, we can find a better home for him." The next day, the old couple received a death notice of their son, who died of falling from the building. When they arrived When he arrived at the scene, he discovered that his son only had one arm and one leg.
In times of crisis, in the face of modern weapons, the lives of both sides in the war are nothing.
Syria today is very much like China more than a hundred years ago. More than a hundred years later, the world is still the same world, but China is no longer that China. Yes, the world is still that world. We are fortunate to be born in a peaceful land in a peaceful era, but we are different.
The tragedy in Syria is still happening scene after scene. Those who are suffering in this sad land, what can we do for you?
