What should we pay attention to when installing automatic recognition cameras?

Ankuai sharing:

As follows:

1. All-in-one machine erection height: the general standard is 1.5m-1.8m;

2. Camera column: Installed on the inside of the barrier gate, about 50cm away from the gate pole; prevent the gate pole from blocking the camera capture and affecting the recognition effect;

Wiring: network cable, power cord, ground sensing switch signal line (connected to the vehicle inspection output).

3. The ground sensing position of the entrance and exit: the length of the all-in-one machine occupies 0.5 meters, calculated according to the Pythagorean law (a2+b2=c2):

1) The camera lens with a 5mm lens should be in line with the The horizontal distance between gate poles is maintained at about 4.3 meters. If the camera height exceeds 0.5 meters, it should be reduced by about 0.25 meters.

2) The horizontal distance between the 4mm camera lens and the gate pole should be kept at about 3.2 meters. If the height exceeds 0.5 meters, it should be reduced by about 0.25 meters.

4. Position of the speed bump: It is installed about 1m outside the entrance and exit ground to ensure that the front of the following vehicle does not touch the ground. To prevent car owners from following their cars too closely, a warning sign should be erected and kept 3 meters away.

5. Fill light: The height of the column is 0.6 meters, and it is installed at 50cm-80cm on the inside edge of the ground sensor (maintaining the front fill light of the license plate). It can be reflected to the license plate by shining on the ground sensor coil. , to ensure the license plate recognition effect.

6. Monitoring screen (bottom inclination): Try to keep the license plate width parallel to the horizontal, with a maximum of no more than 15 degrees.

From this system requirement, the system’s requirements for the on-site environment can be derived. In addition, based on the problems encountered in other projects, the following points are summarized:

1. When the vehicle enters the image capture area, the best effect is for the vehicle to face the camera.

2. The place where license plate recognition is installed should have enough straight-line distance to facilitate installation and debugging. The distance can be calculated as follows (vehicle length + optimal recognition distance of the camera).

3. Avoid installing license plate recognition system equipment after a 90° turn.

4. Avoid installing license plate recognition system equipment on uphill and downhill slopes.

5. Avoid installing this system in a chaotic environment on site (there are many pedestrians, and pedestrians often enter and exit the vehicle passage, which can easily cover the license plate).

6. Avoid passages with serious water accumulation and sewage on the road when it rains (it is easy to block the license plate).
