Why does a new car drip under the chassis every time it stops?

The dripping phenomenon under the car after parking is due to the large temperature difference between the front and rear after air conditioning refrigeration, which leads to the drainage phenomenon of the system.

Causes and treatment methods of drainage in air conditioning system;

As the temperature inside the car is very high, we need to start the cooling system to reduce the temperature inside the car. At this time, the moisture in the hot air in the car will condense on the surface of the heat absorption fin of the evaporator with extremely low temperature, and the water droplets will be collected by the plastic shell of the evaporator and discharged out of the car through the pipeline.

After the air conditioner is turned on, the moisture in the condensed air will drop on the ground outside the compressor installed in the machine room (low pressure area) (sometimes the water amount is greater than the displacement of the evaporator).

The low-pressure pipeline of automobile air conditioner is not covered with insulation foam, so the surface of the pipeline is easy to condense water in the air, and water droplets will also condense and drop along the lowest point of the pipeline.

The dripping position of the automobile air conditioning system is located in the right center of the front of the car, so if we stop for a while after driving for a long time in summer, we will often find that the chassis in the right center of the front of the car will drip, and after a while, we will see a pool of clean and transparent water on the ground. This is not a problem with the vehicle, but the water discharged from the air conditioner outside the vehicle.
