Waterfall postcard
How to take this photo?
(skill 1) three elements
A wonderful photo often includes three elements (at most three, otherwise it will become messy). This photo includes:
1. Warm sky
2. Photographer
Step 3: Smooth waterfalls
We can also try to find three elements to enrich the picture when shooting.
(Tip 2) Balance the exposure of the sky and the ground.
Usually this kind of photo is taken, and novices often take photos directly. Because of the large light difference, first, the sky is normally exposed and the ground is too dark, or the ground is clear but the sky becomes dead white after overexposure, resulting in unsatisfactory results. One solution is to use a gradient gray filter to balance the exposure.
(Tip 3) Three-dimensional composition
This composition method is one of the things that all beginners must learn, and it is also very simple to operate. Just focus on one-third of the picture, as if the portrait and horizon in the photo have also applied this technique.
Quiet sky
Blue tones, calm water and dynamic sky combine to form a wonderful photo, even if you are a novice! Look at the following simple points!
How to take this photo?
(Prompt 1) Bring up the blue tone.
When shooting the blue tone, you need to pay attention to two points-(1) shooting time; (2) White balance.
Shooting time: usually during the day, from 5: 00 to 6: 00 in the morning, the sky turns from dark to bright. At this time, the sky will be blue, and the sky after sunset is ok, but it is easy to shoot warm sunshine, so it is recommended to get up early and go to the seaside to shoot!
White balance: Using automatic white balance may not get the desired effect. We can set the white balance to a low k value or "tungsten lamp" to make the photo bluer.
(Tip 2) Long exposure will make the water surface smooth.
Using tripod, small aperture, low ISO and long exposure can smooth the water surface, and manual mode or S mode /Tv mode can also be used. Generally, the exposure time can be from a few seconds to dozens of seconds or even minutes, but be careful of overexposure and use nd filter if necessary.
(Tip 3) The prospect and application of the three-point method
Many wonderful photos also contain a foreground, and the foreground in the photo is a rock. The importance and application of foreground can refer to another article-the foreground application of composition skills.
Pay special attention to the "three-point method" when photographing the coastline. We can put the dividing line between the sky and the sea in one third of the picture, whether it is the upper third or the lower half. The former highlights the foreground (such as rocks and the sea), while the latter highlights the sky.
Kongyuanye
This is an exciting photo. I usually see such beautiful scenery when traveling. So if I do meet you, how should you accept it? Let's analyze it!
How to take this photo?
(Skill 1) Be quick.
See the light of Jesus in the upper right corner? This is actually the scene when the sun shines through the clouds. If the sky is windy, the clouds will only stay for a short time. If you miss it, you have to wait for the opportunity, so be quick and flexible.
(Tip 2) Add a gradient gray filter.
In order to shoot "Jesus light", the sky can't be overexposed, so the amount of light entering is less. But if we shoot directly, the sky will darken under normal exposure. At this time, we can use the gradient gray filter to reduce the sky exposure when the underground exposure is normal. If necessary, we can use multiple gradient gray filters at the same time to enhance the effect.
(Tip 3) Add potential customers
Imagine that if you only take pictures of the sky and distant mountains, the photos will become too monotonous. Photographers use stones, flowers, etc. As the foreground, it is placed under the photo, which makes the photo suddenly colorful and brings a sense of space.

How to take this photo?
(Hint 1) Shoot the sun from the front.
If we want to shoot the sun head-on, we should pay attention to the following points:
(1) Turn down the aperture: To turn the sunlight into a star, we need a small aperture. Generally, f/ 1 1 or f/ 16 will be more appropriate.
(2) +EV: If you use the aperture priority mode, the camera will generally think that the environment is bright and the exposure will be reduced, so your other scenes will become very dark, and you need to manually +EV to make the exposure return to normal.
(3) Don't stare at the sun for a long time: When shooting the positive sun, don't stare at the sun for a long time, otherwise it may damage the photosensitive element of the camera and hurt your eyes.
(Tip 2) The horizontal line should be straight.
(Tip 3) Make good use of prospects and "interesting points"
Reflection in the city
Have you ever thought about taking a night view of the city by the water? This photo takes the water surface as the reflection, and takes a wonderful night view of the city. Look at the skills you should pay attention to!
(Tip 1) Be careful to expose too much or too little.
Novices often have exposure errors when shooting night scenes. Too much exposure can turn the black sky into gray, or the lights in the building are overexposed. Second, the lack of exposure makes the photos lack of "bright color". To avoid overexposure of colored sky, we can pay attention to whether the sky is dark enough, but we should also be careful that the lights in the building are not bright enough. We need to adjust and try many times until we are satisfied.
(Tip 2) The slow shutter makes the reflection clearer.
Just like taking a reflection photo, the slower the shutter is, the clearer the reflection will be, so a stable tripod is necessary.
(Tip 3) Use a black card to balance the reflected exposure.
This technology is a bit strange to beginners. In fact, the operation is very simple. We only need to use a black card to cover the upper part of the building and shake the black card during a long exposure, so that the actual exposure time of the lower part of the water surface is longer than that of the previous one, so that the reflection can be made brighter.
Sunset and sunset
Camera: Sony NEX-5N focal length: 16mm aperture: f/ 14 shutter: 20s sensitivity: ISO 100.
The picture uses an adjustable neodymium mirror (ND2-ND400) to calm the sea under the Xia Hong. Of course, a stable tripod is also necessary.
Enhance the influence of photos
This photo is taken of the sky and birds at the seaside, so how can we enhance the impact before and after the photo is taken? Let's see!
(Point 1) If you see the sun hiding behind the clouds, there may be a light commonly known as "Jesus Light", and this is a good time to shoot! When shooting, you need to lower the amount of light to make the light more prominent. If you use semi-automatic modes such as aperture priority and EV reduction!
(Point 2) Taking a bird as a silhouette can also highlight the outline, and sometimes "black" will enhance the impact of the photo.
(The third point) Post-adjustment in Photoshop-try to shoot a RAW file, and then use shadow/highlight or curve tools to push the position of the dark part to form an effect similar to HDR photos. Of course, strengthening saturation and contrast will also strengthen the impact force.
Black and white aesthetics
Photos don't have to be in color, black and white, and sometimes they can bring shock. Look, only with the combination of light and shadow, simple composition can already express aesthetics. Try this today!
Tips:
The ambient light difference should be large, so that dark shadows can be taken.
Take a sense of space with a wide-angle lens
