What's different about the photos taken by the film camera?

It is normal that there are many photos taken with film on the Internet. Now there are many loyal film lovers who are still taking pictures with film cameras. Especially for large and medium format cameras, more pictures are taken with film.

shoot with film. After developing, you can scan it with a scanner, or you can scan it electronically and upload it to your computer. After uploading to the computer, it becomes a digital photo. Of course, it can be post-processed. As long as the technology is guaranteed, the effect will not be worse than that of the film, and it will not lose the realism of the film as said upstairs. On the contrary, a good later stage can better show the color and texture of the film. In addition, we can also scan the film, that is, the negative film. However, if the negative film is scanned at the bottom, it is troublesome to reverse, remove the color mask of the negative film and adjust the image on the computer. If you shoot with a reverse film and then scan it to the computer, the effect is great!

Film cameras are not as convenient as digital cameras, but why do many people still like them? 3.1. The photos taken by film are very tolerant and rich in details. For example, in the environment of backlight or large light ratio (the light receiving part is very bright and the backlight part is very dark), it is easy to overexpose or underexpose when using digital cameras, thus losing the details of bright or dark parts. It will be much better to use film, even if the exposure is less than several files, there will be details left. At the same time, it ensures that the highlights will not be overexposed, and there may even be unexpected surprises. 3.2. The color of the film is very good. Of course, this is a matter of opinion, and the color of digital cameras is also good. Film processing should go through a darkroom for color processing, and digital images should be adjusted later. But generally speaking, because there are many kinds of films, such as reverse films, negative films, etc., each of which has a different model, there will be many different color styles, and each style has its own taste, so it is sought after by many people. 3.3. The film has a so-called "graininess". Many people like to use film because of its "graininess", and even think that this is the unique "texture" of film. In fact, this thing is the most meaningless. Not to mention the current digital post-technology, it is easy to imitate this "grainy" effect. For example, there is a preset directly in Lightroom, just apply it, and you don't need to do it yourself. Even films have no graininess, especially some films with extremely low sensitivity, which have extraordinary details and excellent picture quality. On the contrary, no grains can be seen at all. Therefore, because of the "graininess" of using film, there is actually nothing necessary.
