How hard is the job of a photojournalist?
As far as my experience is concerned, I have worked as an intern in the news media in the county, and I have also been to the media in the provincial capital and done news photography. Students studying in Nanjing practice in Nanjing and exchange media differences between the eastern coastal areas and the central areas with me.
To make a long story short, it is easier for the elderly than the younger generation. Some of them are assigned as assistants, responsible for supporting shelves and setting up machines. Sometimes I shoot some unimportant scenes and work directly as a shop assistant, but not all of them have assistants. Generally speaking, newcomers are more tired than their predecessors in this field, mainly studying and making movies every day. I think the pressure is still relatively high. The media in small places are more relaxed than those in provincial capitals, mainly because there are so many news in small places, only five or six articles a week, and the quality is not too high. As far as I know, being a photojournalist in the county can cope with it in two months, so they usually have a sideline, such as opening a photo studio. Besides short news, feature films, documentaries and variety shows, he shoots and runs in other years all the year round. Journalism in the eastern developed areas, especially urban journalism, is more interesting and more suitable for young people. Compared with the completely rigid news system in the small central area, it is too fun here, but it is also hard. Because a lot of news is produced every day, and it must conform to the general news rules (for example, the news rules of county stations are basically zero, and more than 50% are leadership news), so it is commonplace to go out on location frequently and deal with citizens, which is still quite laborious.
In fact, all walks of life have hardships, just to see if this kind of hardship is worth it. I won't say much because
