Where is the Horqin grassland?
Horqin grassland is adjacent to Xilin Gol grassland in the west and Hulunbeier grassland in the north, with vast territory, beautiful scenery and rich resources. Horqin grassland is also called Horqin sandy land. Named after ancient Mongolian tribes.
Horqin Grassland is located in the triangle between the west bank of Xilamulun River and Laoha River. It is high in the west and low in the east, stretching over 400 kilometers and covering an area of about 42,300 square kilometers.
It has jurisdiction over Wengniute Banner and Aohan Banner in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China, and Kailu County, Horqin Left-wing Houqi, Naiman Banner and Hure Banner in Tongliao City. It is a multi-ethnic community with Mongolian as the main body and Han as the majority.
Horqin Grassland, the birthplace of Xiao Zhuang, means "archer" in Mongolian. Primitive spring water, primitive vegetation, primitive sky, primitive taste.
Horqin grassland scenery
Horqin grassland is rich in aquatic plants in history, which is a natural pasture for Mongolian people to live on aquatic plants. With the changes of the times and frequent human activities, the banks of Liaohe River in the south of Horqin Grassland have become fertile fields. "The sky is gray and wild, and the wind blows grass and low cattle and sheep." The picturesque scenery has become history.
However, Zhalute Banner in the north of Horqin Grassland and Huolinhe City in Tongliao City still have well-preserved original grasslands. It borders Daxing 'anling in the north and Xilin Gol grassland in the west. Geomorphological features include shallow hills, vegetable forests and grasslands, impact plains and mountain platforms. Countless winding rivers swim like jade belts. Every summer, herders migrate from villages to the banks of rivers, set up tents and raise cattle and sheep. Local herders call it here.
July and August are the best seasons for grassland photography. Blue sky and white clouds, green grass, flowing water, yurts and scattered cattle and sheep form a picture scroll. Especially Pingchuan, where water is abundant, vegetation is lush, herders embrace each other, and yurts are one after another. In the early morning and evening, the smoke from the yurts, the cattle leaving and returning to the pasture, and the clouds reflecting the red sky at sunrise and sunset are all good opportunities for photography.
