Shooting at night, because of poor lighting conditions, is a test for the camera grade.

Several shooting methods are given for reference:

1, pure night view:

Do not turn on the flash, because the effective distance of the flash is only a few meters. It is best to use a tripod, or put the camera on a relatively stable platform for a long time exposure (in order to improve the shooting success rate, the camera can be set to delay shooting for two seconds to prevent the possibility of instantaneous jitter when the shutter is connected). If there is a moving light source (such as a car light) at this time, you can also shoot beautiful light lines. If you use a small aperture, you can also shoot a star-studded effect (your camera is required to have a blade aperture, but the filter aperture used in IXUS series is not).

2, hand-held shooting at night:

It is necessary to use a higher ISO value to increase the sensitivity of the photoreceptor to light, so as to use a faster shutter speed and reduce the possibility of shooting failure due to long exposure time and jitter during hand-held shooting. Generally, ISO800 is used, and ISO 1600 or even ISO3200 is used in some environments.

If it is a small card machine, the pictures taken by ISO800 card machines in the past two years are barely acceptable. No matter how high the ISO is, there will be more noise and poor image quality. If it is a SLR camera, ISO3200 can only be described as "usable".

3. Portrait at night:

Synchronize with slow shutter flash (the card machine also has night portrait file, which is also slow synchronization). It is recommended to use a tripod or put the camera on a relatively stable platform (in order to improve the shooting success rate, you can set the camera to delay shooting for two seconds to prevent the shutter from shaking instantly). The subject is exposed with a flash, and a clear background can be taken at a lower shutter speed.

But tell the subject not to leave immediately after the flash, and keep his posture for a second or two. Because the exposure is not over yet at this time, moving immediately is easy to cause ghosting in the photo.

If you use high-speed shutter synchronization, people who are very close can shoot clearly, but the background will be darkened.

Because the top flash will make the picture dull and the light stiff. Sometimes, good results can be achieved by skillfully using the light in the shop window for auxiliary lighting, using bright street lamps or using the light in the construction site for auxiliary photography.
