Wutai Mountain, also known as Wufeng Mountain, is surrounded by mountains, with high altitude and large temperature difference between day and night. Wutai Mountain is not only rich in natural landscape, but also very different in human landscape, which can be described as magnificent and beautiful.
Dongtai, also known as Haishan, is located in Qinglan Mountain, which is the best place for many tourists to watch the sunrise and the sea of clouds. Looking around from here, you will feel the solemnity of everything and have a panoramic view, making you feel that you stand out from the crowd and become an immortal. There is also Wanghai Temple on the top of the platform, and there are some scenic spots about Buddhism. It is the highest point in North China, where you can see the non-renewable ice sheet landform formed hundreds of millions of years ago. Even in hot summer, you can see snow, which is rare in North China. If you go in summer, you should also pay attention to wearing long sleeves!
Zhongtai Peak, also known as Cuiyan Peak, is 2800 meters above sea level. The mountain looks like a sleeping lion from a distance, and there are springs on the top. People sometimes carry two empty buckets all the way to get the spring water here, which is a good sign. There are many boulders piled up near Zhongtai Peak, and several temples have been built on them. In recent years, Manjusri Hall and Daxiong Hall have been newly built, which are also the only places for Buddhist believers.
The top of the west platform is called Diaoyuefeng, which is 2700 meters above sea level, just like the name of Diaoyuefeng. Looking at the moon in this place is like the moon hanging on a mountain peak. In addition to glaciers, there are many temples on Xipingtai, and the top of the south platform is also called Jinxiu Peak, with an altitude of 2,400 meters.
This temple dedicated to Maitreya Buddha was built during the reign of Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty and rebuilt during the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. The difference between this Buddha statue and other platforms is that from here, it is spring everywhere, and the mountains are far away and near, and the original fundus makes people feel very comfortable.
