Why did you choose this position in the first place? There is only one reason. The lighting effect of simulating natural light is in line with general visual habits. The position of the main light determines the basic purpose and effect of lighting, but the lighting effect is different in visual texture, that is, "soft" and "hard". "Soft" means soft light and "hard" means concentrated light. It's easy for beginners to use soft light. So you can install a soft light device on this lamp, such as a soft light lamp. Because there is only one main light in the all-black studio, there will be obvious shadows and projections on some folds of the main body and the background where the edges of objects are not illuminated by the main light (the depth and edge clarity of these shadows are determined by the "soft and hard" degree of the main light). If you want to reduce the blackness of these shadows, you can add a second kind of light, that is, auxiliary light. Because each kind of light will bring its own new shadow, therefore, the auxiliary light is usually placed near the camera, so that the shadow generated by angle lighting is the smallest, and the softer the auxiliary light, the better. Therefore, in actual shooting, many auxiliary lights are actually acted by large reflectors (this is only the most basic application method of reflectors).
