The right anterior oblique position of the heart requires that the coronal plane of the body forms an angle of 45 ~ 55 with the film box (or IP board and flat panel detector). Its purpose is to make the heart project in the first 2/3 of the chest, and clearly display the aortic arch in the upper segment of the posterior margin of the heart, the left atrium at the lower upper end, the right atrium at the lower end and the triangular inferior vena cava at the posterior diaphragm angle. Images of ascending aorta, pulmonary trunk and right ventricular funnel can be displayed from top to bottom in front of the heart.
