How to detect breast cancer early? -Talking about the function and importance of mammography.
Early detection, early diagnosis, timely standardized treatment,
Breast cancer can be cured or has a good prognosis (longer survival period).
Missed diagnosis or delayed diagnosis and treatment, poor prognosis or prognosis.
Second, how to find and diagnose breast cancer early? 1, palpable lump, dimple sign, orange peel sign, etc. -It's often invasive cancer or advanced breast cancer! Self-examination or doctor's physical examination-not enough! 2, imaging examination found untouchable lesions-early detection of breast cancer (1) mammography, color Doppler ultrasound and MRI are helpful for early detection of breast cancer. ⑵ In Europe and America, mammography screening for breast cancer has a history of many years and is the most widely used. At present, there are more and more applications in large and medium-sized cities in China, and the effect is remarkable! (Early detection of breast cancer, reducing breast cancer mortality) 3. What is BI-RADS? Bi-RADS (Respiratory Imaging Report and Data System) is a "Breast Imaging Report and Data System" proposed and recommended by American Radiological Society in 1992.
By 2003, it was not only used to guide the X-ray diagnosis of breast, but also extended to the ultrasound and MRI diagnosis of breast.
The purpose is to standardize the diagnostic reports of all normal and abnormal imaging conditions of the breast as a whole organ, and to use unified professional terms and standard diagnostic classification and examination procedures.
Four. Double radiation of breast x-ray
Clinical guidance is of great significance.
(1) Evaluation is incomplete, grade 0: other imaging tests are needed for further evaluation or comparison with the previous film.
It is often used in general survey, but it is rarely used after imaging examination and comparison with the previous film. Other recommended imaging methods include local pressure photography, magnification photography, special projection posture photography, ultrasound and so on.
(2) After the examination, 1 Result: negative.
Nothing unusual was found. Grade 2: benign findings.
Including calcified fibroadenoma, multiple secretory calcification, fatty lesions (lipid cyst, lipoma, ductal cyst and mixed density hamartoma), lymph nodes in breast, vascular calcification, implants, structural distortion with surgical history, etc. Grade 3: It may be a benign finding, and short-term follow-up is recommended.
Benign lesions are likely. It is expected that the lesions will stabilize or shrink in a short-term (less than 1 year, usually 6 months) follow-up to confirm the judgment. Grade 4: suspicious abnormality, biopsy should be considered.
This level includes a large class of lesions that require clinical intervention. These lesions have no characteristic morphological changes of breast cancer, but they may become malignant, with a total malignant rate of about 30%. Grade 5: highly suspected malignant tumor,
Appropriate measures should be taken clinically (almost certainly malignant).
The possibility of malignancy of this lesion is very high. The possibility of detecting malignant tumor is greater than or equal to 95%. High-density masses with irregular star-shaped edges, small linear and branched calcification with segmental and linear distribution, and irregular star-shaped edge masses with polymorphic calcification should all be classified into this level. Grade 6: It was proved to be malignant by biopsy, and corresponding measures should be taken.
This classification is used to evaluate images that have been proved malignant by biopsy but have not been treated. It is mainly to evaluate the image changes after previous biopsy or to monitor the image changes of neoadjuvant chemotherapy before operation.
The standardization and accuracy of breast imaging examination and report are very important.
