What is abstract photography?

Using photography to express a kind of concrete and irrational pure visual form is abstract photography. Abstract photography and abstract painting are both abstract arts. Abstract painting uses brushes, colors and drawing boards to complete painting creation, while abstract photography uses cameras, video cameras and abstract visual elements in natural life to complete abstract photography creation. Although the world is concrete in our sight, all the parts or details that make up the concrete are abstract. It's just that we usually don't pay much attention to discovering abstract beauty in the real world.

Abstract factors are everywhere, such as waterline, swaying reflection, changeable projection, light and shadow, mottled old walls, leakage marks of rain, disordered lines of steel bars, building structures and so on. All the parts and details that can hide the original image can form abstract patterns. Photography is composed of light and shadow, light and shade, point and line, block and composition, color and texture when looking for and choosing to grab pictures. Abstract photography has a bright future in China. The earliest abstract photography experiment appeared at the beginning of19th century, which exposed objects on photosensitive materials and produced abstract black-and-white reflection images with arbitrary shapes. However, this initial abstraction of physical photos is not considered as an expression.
