Period of protection of right of publication

1. The period when the author is a citizen

The protection period is the author’s lifetime and 50 years after the death, ending on December 31 of the 50th year after the author’s death; if it is a collaborative work , ends on December 31 of the 50th year after the death of the last author.

2. The period when the author is a legal person or other organization

The protection period is 50 years, ending on December 31 of the 50th year after the work was first published; however, the work has been created since its creation If the work is not published within the last 50 years, it will no longer be protected by copyright law.

3. Duration of special works

Film works and works created using methods similar to filmmaking and photographic works have a protection period of 50 years, ending on the 50th anniversary of the first publication of the work. For works with unknown authors, the protection period of the right to use and receive remuneration is 50 years after the work is first published.
