Deformation method of architectural photography

Keep the camera level When the camera is level, there will be no perspective distortion of the building in the picture. However, as the high-rise buildings in the city are built higher and higher, the relative distance between buildings is getting narrower and narrower, and the external environment of buildings is not ideal. It is quite difficult to shoot high-rise buildings on the ground only with ordinary cameras. For this reason, a lens with a wider viewing angle can be replaced. In the first imaging picture, the ground in front of the building is definitely too big, but in the process of printing, the extra ground can be cut off, so that the position of the building in the picture can be rearranged. The cost of this trimming is the loss of the effective area of the negative.

Improving the height of the shooting point When shooting a high-rise building, the shooting point is selected at the top of a nearby multi-storey building or the top of a podium of a high-rise building, which can avoid the perspective distortion of the building being photographed in the picture. However, the shooting point should not be too high, so as not to shoot the bottom of the building when looking up, or to shoot down so that the straight line in the building that was originally perpendicular to the ground inclines downward and converges, resulting in reverse perspective distortion.

Compared with ordinary cameras, the main feature of the camera with angle adjustment is that the lens and the back of the film can be displaced or twisted through soft connectors (such as leather cavities) to change the perspective effect and definition range of the image. By using this viewing angle adjustment function, the photographer can adjust the relative position relationship between the optical axis of the camera lens and the center of the film plane during framing and composition, so as to move the top (ground shooting) or bottom (high shooting) of the building to a suitable position in the picture according to the needs of composition, and the vertical line of the building can always be vertical in the photo, avoiding the perspective distortion phenomenon of vertical line inclination when looking down or looking down with an ordinary camera.

The working principle of the angle adjustment lens is similar to that of the angle adjustment camera, but this angle adjustment is carried out inside the lens, that is, the main optical axis of the lens optical system is coaxial with the center of the picture before the angle adjustment (at this time, it is regarded as an ordinary lens), and when the photographer moves and adjusts according to the needs of composition, it becomes off-axis (that is, angle adjustment). Installing this viewing angle adjusting lens on an ordinary camera becomes a simple but very effective "viewing angle adjusting camera". If the characteristic of the angle-adjusting camera is that it can choose a suitable lens from a group of lenses with different focal lengths and install it on the camera body with angle-adjusting, so as to realize the comprehensive control of the perspective effect and definition range of the image, then the characteristic of using the angle-adjusting lens is that it can be installed on the camera body to realize the unified body with other ordinary lenses.
