What are Poe's representative works?
Edgar Allan Poe is an American poet, novelist and critic. Poe's poems are mostly melancholy and have strange images. The main poetry collections are Timur and Poetry Collection. His novels can be roughly divided into two categories: mystery novels and horror novels. Most of the stories he wrote took place in strange places, deliberately rendering the atmosphere of terror, mystery and sadness. The former includes the mask of bloody death, black cat, the collapse of Arthur building and so on. The latter includes Murder in Mog Street and Lydia. After his death, his creation attracted more and more attention and was regarded as the originator of mystery novels. In addition, the mysterious and horrible features in his works also inspired modernist writers.
