Enter Daliangshan to celebrate the Year of Yi people.

I have heard countless times how barren and backward Daliangshan is. Daliangshan is a paradise for humanistic photography and a must-see place for photographers all their lives. For the first time, I chose to follow the photographer into Daliangshan on the occasion of Yi Jia's New Year.

"On the edge of the Jinsha River, the old swallow jumps, the Tata jumps, just to get a mile, and the Tata jumps, just to get a mile ..." Three high mountains and a rushing Jinsha River can't stop you from going home for the New Year! It was wrapped in warm tea baby, a potato in Black Pig's hometown, and the Yi family's New Year was lit in every village and yard. ...

Yi people say "kus" in Yi language for the New Year, and "kus" is usually chosen in the lunar calendar 10, when the crops are harvested. Generally speaking, the Yi people celebrate the New Year for three days, and the fire pit at home will burn for three days. The first night of the Yi people's New Year is called "Jueluoji" and the first day of the New Year is called "Kus". Please ask your ancestors to kill pigs and eat New Year's Eve. The next day is called "Dobo". On this day, everyone enjoys themselves and gets together in the wild. The third day was called "Apu Machine". On this day, our ancestors died. On the day of Jueluoji, no matter how far away it is, Yi family members are eager to return to their hometown, just like the Spring Festival, and they all want to go home and reunite with their families for the Spring Festival. So on the day of Jueluoji, we met several traffic jams along the way, and it was dark before we arrived at the scheduled accommodation.

The next day, the light fog filled the air in the morning, and the small village was like a dream in the faint haze, leaning against the mountain like a mirage. Outside Zhaojue, Yi people are busy buying and selling pigs. When the deal is good, they will carry the fat pig home and go home to kill the pig for the New Year on this day. In Modi town, we happened to kill pigs on a whole street, and there were pigs at the door of every household along the street. The dry fern is burning and the pigskin is creaking.

When we arrived in Tromo village, the sun was just right and the village was mottled with light and shadow. It is still children carrying younger children, playing under the village wall in groups of three or five. In this village, I witnessed the process of Yi people killing pigs. Yi people began to kill Nian pig from their elders, Bimo or respected families according to their generations. Young and strong people in the village formed a pig-killing team, and every household proceeded in an orderly manner.

When the pig killing team entered the yard, the host family offered welcome cigarettes and wine. After all the people in the pig killing team had a drink, a group of people dragged the black pig out. The host scooped a ladle of water from the cigarette and turned around the pig's head. It is said that this is called "Luo Mojia", which removes unclean things from pigs. Burning pig hair with fern grass is also a sign of pig cleanliness. After that, a group of strong laborers pressed the pig, and the captain of the pig killing team took a wooden stick and hit it head-on, and the pig fell down. Seeing such a primitive way of killing pigs with my own eyes, I feel like I've been hit on the head. Then the pig killer went in with a knife, and pig blood gurgled into the basin. After killing one family, a group of people in the pig killing team, led by leaders with sticks, shouted to go to the next family, and so on until all the pigs in every household in the village were killed.

In fact, I really want to follow this village from beginning to end, and I want to fully understand the detailed customs and habits of the Yi people for the New Year. However, the people in the same team had to give up and continue to follow the team because they had to rush to the next point.

Butuo County passed the Year of the Yi people ahead of schedule. We arrived in Butuo unconsciously and looked around at random. Huolie Township, 2800 meters above sea level, the road from Butuo to Huolie Township is under construction. As we walked up the Panshan Highway, we felt that the old road of Daliangshan had bent and bent to the plateau. The sun seems to love this hot land more. On this plateau, the sunshine is like gold. Maybe the earth is closer to the sky and the sky is bluer. The flame lake glows with blue broken light, the wind blows out, and the wind generator rotates with the wind at the top of the mountain.

Yi people burn fire pits on red land, killing chickens and slaughtering sheep. There is a big pot of meat cooking on the stove. Young and strong people are chopping bones and cutting meat. Middle-aged and elderly people and children sit around the fire pit. Bimo worships heaven and earth, mysterious and pious. The Yi young man generously lifted a bottle of beer and poured it into his stomach.

Yi people are very hospitable. No matter in Trom or in Huolie Township, they are warmly invited by the Yi people to celebrate the New Year together. Yi people have welcome wine everywhere during the Spring Festival. If the family goes shopping next to each other, they will get drunk after a few walks. I met a drunk man on the slope of Huolie Township, but I didn't communicate with him far away. I made him angry because everyone was holding cameras. I threw clods around, and before I could hide, he greeted me with a stick. Such a drunken man with such a savage temper, in a foreign country, forget it, bear it. ...

Yi people also have the custom of celebrating the New Year. Married women will take pork, drinks, beer and eggs, and their husbands and children to their parents' homes for the New Year. Along the way, they will meet people who drive tricycles and carriages, and they will also meet people who drive cars and take gifts to their parents' homes to pay New Year greetings. If there are many daughters, the poles on the fireplace are covered with bacon, which can't be eaten without killing pigs. Rows of colors are attractive.

This is the Great Liangshan Mountain, which has the unique customs and habits of the Yi people. Jinsha River meanders and Yi Mountain is silent for thousands of miles. This passionate land is Liangshan, which is 800 miles in size! Bless this land with the blessing words learned by Yi people, and be lucky-Zhimogni! May the Great Liangshan Mountain get better and better. Happy new year!
