How to remove wires from photos
When traveling, the wires that can be seen everywhere are very annoying. Most of them appear in the sky, lying in mid-air, and you can't avoid them. So how do you remove the wires in the photos? Let’s learn together:
The wires hanging in the air are very disturbing to the senses, so I removed them, and then did some processing on the tone of the photos to make them The photo looks like this.
Overview
Software version: Photoshop CC2017
Overview of steps: Open photo > Create new layer > Remove wires > Stamp layer > Convert to smart object > Toning Processing > Saving Photos
Areas involved: Layer Panel, Filter Menu, Spot Healing Brush Tool, File Menu
Difficulty factor: 4 (10 is the highest)
Detailed operation
01 Remove wires
Open this photo in Photoshop, and then select the penultimate icon below the layers panel (shaped like a folded corner of the paper), the function of this icon is to create a new layer. After clicking, you will find that there is an additional blank layer called "Layer 1" on our original layer.
Now we select the Spot Healing Brush Tool in the toolbar (the icon is the first one below. If you can’t find it, you can right-click on any of the following icons to bring up this menu and select it ), I would use it to remove wires.
First look at the settings of this tool. Please check the last "Sample all layers" option. Because we want to achieve lossless, we need to sample on the original layer, but the repaired result appears on the new layer. Similar to using correction fluid to fix misspelled words.
Now I zoom in to 80%, you can make it larger.
Then use the navigator on the upper right side of the interface to move the view to the upper left corner of the screen, which is the starting point of the wire.
I resized the tool to 200 pixels, and you can see that the mouse has turned into a circle of that size.
Then drag the mouse directly on the wire, then release the mouse, and the tool will automatically repair the area.
This tool is great for repairing debris on solid backgrounds, but it can also make mistakes. For example, here, I found that something went wrong when repairing. I just need to reapply and finally remove as many wires as possible. , leaving only the most tangled part on the right side.
When the repair is in the final place, I set the tool size to 9 pixels. The tool is smart and passes over the vertical wires when I paint, but they will not be affected after the repair.
Finally, enlarge the screen to about 150% and fix the details in detail. If you just post to Moments or share on the Internet, there is no need to be particularly picky.
If you want to go back on your word, you can use the shortcut key Ctrl (Command for Mac) Z to go back to the previous step. This operation can also be found in the "Edit" menu. I have introduced a tool before, which is similar to this tool, called "Clone Stamp", which involves a description of the non-destructive principle. You can click on the link below to watch it.
Clone Stamp Tool
02 Overall Adjustment
Press the Ctrl (Command for Mac) Shift Alt E shortcut key at the same time to stamp the layer. The effect is: merge all layers into a new layer and place it above the selected layer. After that, we will deal with it according to the old routine!
Right-click the text part of the new layer-"Layer 2", select "Convert to Smart Object" in the menu, and then select "Convert to Smart Object" in the menu Select the "Filter > Camera Raw..." filter to process the photo. The specific processing depends on your preference, so I won’t go into details here.
After that, you only need to save the photo to get the pure sky effect.
TIPS:
01 What else can this tool be used for?
"The Spot Healing Brush Tool" is a very smart repair tool in Photoshop. In the toolbar we will see many tools, including range selection tools (creating selections), repair tools (this tool and clone stamps, etc.), processing tools (such as simple deepening), etc. This tool is suitable for repairing stains and flaws on surfaces with a relatively uniform texture. It is mostly used to repair acne on people's faces, debris and buildings in scenery, dust in still life photos, etc.
02 Is lossless processing necessary?
In fact, you can use this tool directly on the layer, but I prefer to process it in layers. In our eyes, "defects" "Essentially, they are unnecessary details. If I handle them this way, these details will be retained. When we need these details one day, we can retrieve them at any time. I suggest that everyone develop "non-destructive" obsessive-compulsive disorder.
